I was actually bummed that MSB was done, because in the real life section, this is almost a safe space to rant and I needed to rant!

RE: The Work Thread
I am planning to go back to work tomorrow. I will be starting off strong with a four day stretch back on the covid unit.
I am still not 100 percent, but I am hoping that I am well enough and I ma hoping that by Sunday, I am well and truly on the upswing.
Omicron was a really different illness for me than the first wave covid. I didn't get as dramatically crashing and ending up in the hospital sick, but had/have this lingering set of odd and annoying problems that are still not resolved. (headaches, low grad fevers, exhaustion, joint pain, but also really dramatic brain fog).
I hope the fevers are done, because if they are not I might have to take more time and that would be really letting my work down.
And I am a bit worried about the brain fog, my dyslexia has like backtracked and is worse than it was and well I have to be sure my thinking is clear enough to go safely back.
So I am hopefully going back Sunday, we will see.

RE: RL Anger
I am quite baffled. I believe that you argued that threads shouldn't be derailed over this stuff and yet here you are four days later on another thread still complaining that people didn't like that word being used.
I also don't recall anyone outright saying or even implying that people have to be offended by cunt. I have no idea where this impression is coming from.

RE: RL Anger
You put words in the posters mouth which were not typed. I was one of those posters.
I responded after I woke up.
You appeared to get upset.
Your understanding with others was not an understanding with me.
You jumped on me for talking about this topic on a thread that was already talking on it a few days ago. You expressed it partly bothers you because you past. I apologized.
I pointed out that you are still talking about it yourself.
You appeared to get upset.
You expressed upset because you believed I personally attacked you. You then personally attacked me while expressing that upset.
I admit I am not social genius, but I am not understanding this at all.

RE: RL Anger
Yeah.
And it should be noted, I truly have nothing against Surreality.
Sometimes I back down and say I was in the wrong. I have before, about the journals.
But Kanye-West and etc stated their point concisely and calmly and I was like well that makes sense to me.That being said, I do apologize. I didn't mean for you to feel personally attacked. I am beyond understanding the whole situation at this point, but I doubt that I was fully in the right.

RE: RL Anger
Surreality
We did settle it and then you kept going after me. I really don't understand this at all. I feel like you are still going after me.
Surrealliy "Come in swinging', I mean 'the accusation was in the initial post here', and we've settled that just fine, I hope. "
Then let it go and stop saying I came in swinging or accused you of stuff.
Its sort of a natural human reaction for people to defend themselves when they feel attacked.
I feel like you are still attacking me over this and won't let it go. I felt like the apology was used against me. Like she apologized, so now I can keep saying she did xyz, but apologized for it.
Maybe I shouldn't have said anything about you still talking about the issue, but this isquite the reaction to it and the reaction is still going on.
I don't understand it. Can't we just let this go?

RE: RL Anger
Things I don't like in rl.
-
People who smoke in public places where people have to breath it in. Like in front of buildings and on touristy walkways with lots of people walking about.
-
People who drive under the speed limit in the left lane when there is no reason not to be in the right lane.
-
That cola tastes so good and is so bad for me. Sigh!

RE: The Work Thread
I appreciate the support. Thank you. And well no decisions made yet, but I need to process things and rest.

RE: The Work Thread
Yeah, time will tell if the changes happen and that back dated raise is more than deserved. I am most died in the line of duty and am one of the last standing who hasn't left!
It felt a bit validating I will admit to hear them, go /We need you. What will it take?/
And I realized I have influence there, more than I realized. I just had to put in my two weeks notice!

RE: Gardens!
One thing that is crazy to me about gardening is if I went by the gardening guides based on traditional gardening wisdom for this area, I would be out there trying to seed cool weather crops right now.
It is 90 degrees with no upcoming rain and temps between 70-90 highs all week. This is not normal
But one has to adjust
And I am putting peppers in the ground like I live In California or something now!
Climate change is changing the gardening rules!

RE: The Work Thread
I didn't sign anything! But yeah I understand the paranoia. Healthcare is a mess as you well know!

RE: Gardens!
I have a lot of space, a plant obsession and autistic tendency to do things in this over the top way. Like I don't know how to get into things just a little bit. I can take it too far even with my plants. I might post some pictures if I can get them sized for msb or get unlazy enough to do so!
But I am Growing!
Herbs: Rosemary, Lavender, Parsley, Cilantro, Lovage, Oregano, Thyme, Calendula, Dill, Sage, Mint, Chervil, Winter Savory, Tarragon, Horehound, Lemon Balm, Basil, Chamomile, Cone Flowers (Echinnea) , Fennel, Sorrel, Rue
(I am growing several kinds of most, because I have no plant self-control!)
Nightshades
Tomatoes, Peppers, Tomiltilos, Huckleberries, Eggplant, Potatoes.
Brassicas
Cabbage, Collards, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussle sprouts, Kale
(we will see how they hold up in the heat - but most are in shade we will see!)
Legumes
Peas
Beans hopefully will start this weak - pole, bush, dry and snap
Root Veggies
Beets, Radishes, Carrots
(I haven started parsnips, rutabags, turnips yet and now wondering if it will be too hot!)
Greens
Spinach, Lettuce, Mustard, Chard, Argula
Cucurbitaceae
Cucumbers, Summer Squash, Winter Squash, Water melon, Melon
(I have bitter melon and luffa seeds - normally hot hot plants - but with the way the temps are going to think now might be the time to start!)
Other
Okra
Then I cam going to hopefully get corn going soon as it does pretty good in hot and dry, but I need to dig out space for it.
Berries
I just got strawberries going - but considering getting some berry bushes, but I need to dig out spaces for them!
Onions
Chives, Scallions, Garlic, Leeks, Onions
I got raised beds, containers and in ground gardens! Shade and sun places.
I have issues though and work myself too hard sometimes and go too far, like I am like I need to grow everything and fill up as much space as possible.
Then growing - marigolds, pansies, will do nastriums and sunflowers I do edible flowers,, pest repelling flowers or can be a bean trellis flowers!
I have irises because well they are all over here and I kept them!
At least I am ready for food shortages.

RE: Gardens!
I absolutely loved your pictures! It inspired to make a garden gallery. I sort of had one going on flickr, but I tried one there.

RE: Gardens!
Thanks! I am making my plan now. I am lucky that I don't work fri and sat - and it will warm up on sunday by time I go back to work which should allow me to prep and do what I can. And I am lucky in that I have a billion plant pots which I can cover with.

RE: RL Sads
I am unable to sew and I don't now why. I can do lots of other crafty/domestic/eye hand coordinated things (cook, garden, wound care, etc). I even am wound vac expert which has some skills in common with sewing!
I think it is more of a mental, don't like sewing than a true /can't/ sew. I get super bored and the more bored I get the less careful I am with keeping the fabric pressed and the more funky my sewing gets.
Also as a person from a poor and strange background, we were encouraged to sew, sewing your own clothes is a virtue, fixing things to rewear is a virtue! No I hate sewing so much, I won't even sew a button back on protest. I am like sewing - I work hard and got out of poverty, so I can do things buy clothing and not sew!

RE: Gardens!
Oh and I am attracting lots of bees, which makes me happy, I have little houses for them and stuff too.
