Over the years the number of webcomics I enjoy has dwindled down due to comics wrapping up, going on hiatus, or creators suddenly poofing. Now I'm down to Order of the Stick and Kill Six Billion Demons, and nothing I look into is as good or interesting as what I've lost.

RE: Idling all day on MU*s
It feels cozy to hang out in a crowded MU when I can't hang out with my RL friends. Feels less lonely, even if I'm not doing anything there.

I just ordered silly, fruity cheap ass wines to be delivered to my house. during my work shift.
I'm lazy and I'm going to be stupid later and drink cold wine outside in the heat, and love every second of itThat sounds lovely.

Except just being in the building for 15 minutes made my nose and throat itch.
Ew, no.

RE: Interest Check: Exalted 3rd ed Mu
I don't expect a huge outcry about not being able to play Abyssals. They're not Jedi. They aren't even Sith. Being an Abyssal is awful and a commitment from the lore.

This is a lot of the reason I suggested 'just do all of creation'. Have the Blessed Isle for those who want to do Dragonblooded politics. Let the Celestials run around the threshold doing sandbox adventures... yes, with some plot, but also spread out so your Abyssals aren't pushed right up next to the Solars, and now we're in a pvp scenario.
It's how City of Hope actually manages to have semi-working antag players. By keeping them VERY SEPARATE from the white hats, who will all try to murder them instantly.
THEN AGAIN, I tend to make high conviction/low compassion characters, so even my 'non-antag' exalts are pretty damn antag when you look at them.I would disagree because 'People have a kingdom over here and have made 2300 posts about its events in the last month' mean a lot less to me than 'the city/region/country I live in had zero posts about its events in the last month'.

I disagree, but mostly because, well, I want to play Celestial Exalted.
Pretty much this. Dragonblooded sound cool as hell... But I'd really like to make a Lunar.

RE: General Video Game Thread
I think I was able to enjoy Cyberpunk a lot more than my friends because I had no hype going into it. I love the setting lots, but somehow I just didn't follow CP very closely, and that served me pretty well from the looks of things.

A spell-punk or dungeon-punk setting either in space (Spell Jammer??) or in a near-future setting, Like an Eberron, meets the 22nd-century advanced with magitek theme.
Shadowrun?

Any word on this? Still in the planning stages?

RE: Euphoria - Feedback
@bear_necessities said in Euphoria - Feedback:
Euphoria's idle policy is 60 days. The way Ares works is that you get warned once via post, and then when the admin runs the idle sweep again (and you still have not logged in), you get marked as "Gone" or your last will is enacted if you set one up.
People marked as 'gone' still can come back if they want to. But if you haven't logged into a game in 60 days? Ehhh, odds are you aren't coming back.
Every single game has an idle policy. I'm not sure why that would be a deterrant.Again, sorry, my mistake. It just seemed like really odd timing, and I often go two or three weeks without logging into a place sometimes.

@Wizz said in Euphoria - Feedback:
That would absolutely be a dealbreaker for me. That has to be the strictest activity policy I've seen in years.
Well, I don't know how long it actually takes to idle out! But right before this post was made, a whole bunch of people were purged, and it just baffles me. Why not let them mosey on back?
ETA: Sorry for misrepresenting the policy.
-
RE: Euphoria - Feedback
I really don't understand the common policy of rapidly cycling people who don't log in every week. It's very depressing to see 8 people get purged every week. Who cares if a non-roster didn't log on for a while?

For a Shadowrun Super game, maybe something like "Virtually Nowhere"? Especially if there is a focus on decking. What's Virtually Nowhere?
