@Derp If they were going to prove it was an undue hardship to set me up for work from home, they would have to remove the option for everyone.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
@Auspice Well, they don't have the forms. It's seriously just notes from my doctors. And I will hear back, because I will go to them in 3 days for an answer. And I won't stop, until I have to get DoL involved.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
Handed the accommodation letter from my doctor to my boss today, about a work from home accommodation. (The company has work from home employees, so this is completely feasible and doable). She tells me she will talk it over with her co-CEO and they will decide if I can be an 'exception', since they like the 'local area people' to come into the office. -- uh, I don't think she knows that isn't how it works.
I also didn't get the job I interviewed on Friday, so I'm stuck waiting to explain that they don't get a choice on medical accommodation if they have the ability.

RE: The Work Thread
@Aria Well, the interviewer thanked me for a great interview. I am taking it as a positive sign.

RE: The Work Thread
I have big interview tomorrow. I am freaking out already.

RE: The Work Thread
@Auspice I already spoke to my diabetic doctor's office. I'll have one in the mail by the end of the week to give the job.
But I have an interview on Friday for a much better paying gig (I mean WAY better), so if some of y'all could spare me some good thoughts, it would mean a HUGE change up for me.

RE: The Work Thread
Work seems to think 15 minutes is enough time to leave the floor for the break room, treat my low sugar, eat something slow absorbing to keep them level without overcompensating, and get my hands to stop shaking. Apparently I need another accommodation letter.

RE: The Work Thread
I am one of those people that can work from home pretty okay. It's going to come down to the new company getting the accommodation letter, though. I don't live far enough away from the office for them to feel I should work from home. The Rheumatologist feels differently (my pain levels going into the office to work have climbed fairly dramatically), so.. they will get a letter.

RE: Comic/Superhero Games
@Runescryer So it's not the OC part you dislike, it's mashup, right? So you're looking for something more single universe flavor?

RE: The ADD/ADHD Thread (cont'd from Peeves)
I never even heard of pomadoro until now.

RE: RL things I love
@Auspice I remember when a co-worker helped me find out how to know if something was kosher, since he kept it. He totally was eager to tell me reese's peanut butter cups were Kosher.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@Derp Sadly, I have to look for something that pays more. I can't afford to live with what they pay me, let alone get ahead and save.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
I love my job, but it doesn't pay nearly enough, so now I'm stressed out about scraping a budget to live on for the next two weeks.

Compliments of the air fryer guru I live with.

Getting a pendant and cord to wear it on from Etsy.. but the fucking cord is too big to fit through the whateverthefuckitscalled on the pendant. Fuck you.

RE: Lifehacks
@Auspice Super crispy and delicious. Not a soggy bit to be found, not at all greasy.. so good.

RE: Lifehacks
Lord, the air fryer makes chimichangas a revelation, though.

RE: The Esports thread
I missed most of yesterday's LCS, but so far today's games are AWESOME.

RE: Lifehacks
@Lotherio I was insistent. I wanted one in my old place (even less space) and just never got to it. But I'm excited by all the options.
