    • RE: Roster Characters & WoD?

@buttercup do you mean like a template of a given character type (like here is your starting Nosferatu) or a specific individual with an established role and groups they are a part of like Arx and similar games?

I /think/ that due to the supposedly small number of supers in a given setting people would want to bring their personal touch to the story and character they play, and it would be extremely noticeable when one of three leaders of a group was switched out again.

I do wonder if there is a way and room for the idea of "faceless npcs" who have been around but get detailed when someone wants to come in.

I really appreciate that she took the time to document why she designed her dice probabilities the way she did. And was still willing to talk about it.

And thats atop all the actual coding and engineering and taking requests and helping everyone set up games.

I really should log in long enough to return the investment funds my PC was given.

      Re: dice of life

I know a couple who met in France, and they married so she could come to the US, and they are happily married now.

So yeah, it can happen the good way too.

      @derp @Ganymede

How about you feel tired, accomplished, resilient and smart enough to know you need rest instead?

If I could just flip that switch for you, I would.

I know its not wrong to give my cat corn kernals off the cob, but is it wrong to hold the denuded cob so he can lick the whole thing row by row?

I'd like someone, staff or a player, who can help people state their issue succinctly and clearly.

    • RE: Who Holds the Reigns

In a slight variance from Ganymede's suggestion of a council advising a king, you could also just have the actual leadership form BE a group itself. That lets them reach a pinnacle, and vie for it among other PCs, and lets staff offer up changes in NPC attitudes, positions, and persons to keep things grounded in theme and setting.

That all works with advising a leader or leading couple too.

And in reality often the crown cant just do what they want anyhow. Others have critical resources and must be consulted before a decision is presented to the general public.

@ganymede 9PM treats are an option. For bagged robot cats. Or cats who stare at you because they know what time it is, and they know you know too.

I have told my cats that while it is true that dinner is only so much food at 6pm, their life is not as sad as a robot cat's life.

      zomg sports nerds!

However, I wanted to point out that the conversation about reputation and contractual decisions helped me get a better idea of that part of the drama/strategies and why people can get into discussing it.

I feel like I get that a lot more.

@lotherio to be fair all the serial killers I play rarely share that with anyone else.

      JK.

They explain it to the corpses while they clean up.

I would think that most cyberpunk, medieval fantasy, or survival games would have secrets, but it's not something that is all anyone has going on, and often it's just secrets the players don't know as a group.

Do Lords and Ladies games have all consuming secrets like that? Other than who is really in love with who. (I'll take DMs if people don't want to derail this)
