A motorcycle rider should be keenly aware of where you might go next, especially in merging situations. Your examples are idiots.

More realistically, do know what sort of relationship you'll have and what rights to stay during a dispute like rent raise or eviction. People can discover that the tenant can stay until the situation is resolved depending on the setup of the relationship.

RE: RL Anger
I did read about a study recently where signs of autism can be masked by women's generally different baselines and training. Seems that could apply to ADD as well.

RE: Fallout: Montreal
Most people have no idea what it takes to make living happen, let alone how to do it in a post-apocalyptic setting.
I don't know how they will roleplay that, other than no one has anything, and no one knows how to make anything, or what they need, so this had better be Day 1 of the future.

RL Anger: when I put on a skirt and a nice top, some lipstick and mascara and I get "Ooh what's his name?"
Answer:
"Her name, mom, what's her name." -

Weird. Places I go, close the door when they want to stop taking orders. You are often welcome to stay 30-60 minutes after that. They'll let you know when the kitchen is closing.

RE: Development Thread: Sacred Seed
I think @Cobaltasaurus makes games she'd like to play. And that is the key to trying to make any game.
She just hasta share the core exciting parts with a few others, so the workload is lighter, and everyone, including her, get to play.
That's how I see it at least.

Companies want to make money.
This is why WoW changes up how the classes play, atop adding new content. It's the thing, to make money they have to keep changing things, or adding things, or both.
It's just how it works.

RE: Fate Accelerated Questions
I've seen what feels like the reverse reason for the idea that a super being and a mortal can have the same power to affecrt the fiction while having disparate power levels. They compared a superman level of power to an arrow fired by a super-archer type. The end result was make up a reason why it works for the super-archer.
It's a great idea (how strongly you affect the fiction) but I feel that you'd run out of reasons pretty quickly. At that point you do not differentiate between say Bullseye throwing something, and Gambit throwing something charged, or Superman's heat beams.
Unless someone can tell me how you avoid making up extremely lucky shots constantly.

RE: Fate Accelerated Questions
You can also just budget people as having or not having a skill at whatever level of detail you want.
Or go completely mad and have skill levels add to approaches. Madness!

RE: Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition (VtM 5E)
I would say that a successful roll represents not rationalization but acceptance and understanding of why an action is monstrous, and probably resolving with conviction to try to do better.
I suppose one could argue its just about human vs vampire natures and which are your go to actions,
but to be fair humans pretty much are great at being monsters allllll on their own."Humans... and how I love you talking monkeys for this... know more about war and treachery of the spirit than any angel."

I dunno why, but the typical and even laudable this is just a game, don't go where you aren't comfy etc put me off. Both are topics I have seen done before and seemed fine, so no idea why this particular text grated on my nerves. I literally just closed the PDF and forgot about it.

RE: Critters!
I don't understand this. My cousin's beloved dog seemed fine three days ago, then not fine two days ago, then was diagnosed with terminal cancer and recommended to euthanize this evening.

RE: Horror MUX - Discussion
Maybe split stories and how they are handled between the one a week folk, and the every other day folk? I assume that they are still carrying the majority of the burden for RP, and staff is handling very specific things, which are mainly designed to allow for that player generated content, or ending a question/plot/showing a twist.

RE: General Video Game Thread
@tyche wasn't serious when he asked in General Video Game Thread:
What next? Toxic male culture in model-railroading?I dunno, I looked at the HO scale model people, and there are no women engineers, rail workers, hobos, cops, etc. However, there is a grim reaper, so that's something.
I know ... I'm not helping.

RE: Horror MUX - Discussion
@deadculture Hmm, I was hoping that clever folks out there had other approaches as well.
EG a group I know has the alpha team and has a beta team to play when not everyone can make it. That beta team is more flexible in terms of sudden start stops, and in general, are set up for quick single session stories. This is for a tabletop group, but it got me thinking about if players can come up with satisfying ways to "catch up" in their own experiences. Like making up their own dramatic moment that causes them to be at the right place/seek the right people/bring themselves to attention of the others. Something.

RE: Horror MUX - Discussion
Anyone have suggestions for how to amend fragmented or non-start play like this? Is there an approach or tool that would help?
