RE: Genosha (Interest Poll)
@coin Sorry to disappoint A Staffer suggested we just keep it in our back pocket for now, and I think we'll do that. Should it pop up again, hey...it'll be on here ^_^

RE: Genosha (Interest Poll)
@magee101 Thanks! I'll keep that in mind for next time.

RE: Genosha (Interest Poll)
It was never my intention to look flaky what so ever. In the original post (which I took down) it was stated, clearly, that this did not put a hold on the Fallout project what so ever, and that it was still first and foremost. Really, it was a flight of fancy and just a question. I don't think just asking should ever be a bad idea. You'll never know unless you ask.
I understand that putting this thread here, though, was possibly not the right call, but I wasn't sure where to toss the idea out to.
For now, though, maybe this thread would serve better in the mildly constrictive thread, as it no longer has anything to do with a game advert. Is there an admin I should tag to get this moved should the thread continue?

RE: Genosha (Interest Poll)
Sorry. Ended the poll and went ahead and removed the idea. Didn't mean to ruffle feathers, I was just curious what people thought.

Genosha (Interest Poll)
Note: Just to explain what people are writing to. I initially tossed up a pole about possible interest in a future game.

RE: Fallout: Montreal
PROGRESS UPDATE!:
Wiki coming soon, probably within the next couple of weeks. It'll be a bit bare bones, but more in-depth information will be posted there as we continue progression.

RE: Fallout Lonestar (Poll For intrest)
Best of luck with development and building, fellow survivor!

RE: Fallout: Montreal
@secretfire I don't see an issue with this at all. The base story when we open will be about some survivalists coming across needy vault dwellers, and setting up a settlement. The idea of expansion works very well, especially as the grid opens up more and gives more possibilities.

GRID IDEA UPDATE!
As far as the grid goes, I've noticed the expression and interest in Toronto. I did say it would be on the grid, but I also wanted people to know that I'll eventually be adding Quebec City and Ottawa as well. The map itself will not be fully complete once we open, as I'll be leaving expansions and new locations for plot elements.
In a way, think of it like filling in your map as you go along!

@bad-at-lurking Oh. Oh...wait till you see what we have in store!

RE: Fallout: Montreal
@insomnia Thanks for linking this to me! A few members of our Staff are pretty buff as far as mythos goes, but I'm thankful for anything interesting involving the setting.

RE: Fallout: Montreal
@magee101 Resources for the war effort. Occupation was held in Canada beginning in 2069. The annexation didn't happen until 2076. That's more than enough time to push for Vaults, or any other implantation of Vault Tech within the area, even as it's being stripped for resources. That being said, too, what stops an insane, experimentation company from doing said experiments on people they may consider their enemies? Wouldn't those be the best test subjects?

@magee101 Oil and money take companies some crazy places sometimes, regardless of xenophobia.

RE: Fallout: Montreal
@magee101 It could have easily been built during the time that Canada was part of America. And without any specific say of 'no this didn't happen' we'll be working with it as a possibility. A lot of things happened in the States after the 1950s. Regardless of the aesthetic of the game, view points did change in ways they would have naturally in history. If it lingered purely in the time and didn't develop socially, you wouldn't be allowed to play whatever character you want, for example.

RE: Fallout: Montreal
@magee101 I've already said in my pestery (what's missing for you) thread that we'll have a vault. It doesn't matter if Vault Tech was an American company. Companies that are specific to one country DO outsource and produce outside of their country.
We're working on links to lore, factions, and even other vaults that might be around different cities that can be later explored! It'll be there, even if we've started calling it Eh-Tech.

RE: Fallout: Montreal
@secretfire I'm hoping just to get a functioning code that can work well and easily for players. I know that myself and my other staffers will probably ST differently, and so will the Players when they run their own things. TO me, that's fine. Most things are left to ST discretion, but I also like the idea of having dice and a system in place for that spice of possibility. I'm sure we'll get something that'll please a majority of people, I just like letting people know upfront is all.

RE: Fallout: Montreal
@lithium The option will be there. It'd be impossible to have this setting without combat. I just wanted it out there that that's not what it's all about is all. If one is more important than the other, that changes how we make things work and function. I'm trying to find the middle ground so we can have some solid footing and ideas for our coder.
