@Arkandel I feel that way about Bendis and Remender. Bendis at least has books that I've enjoyed, but mostly when he's either creating new characters or taking ones that haven't been used in forever and kind of rebooting them (Miles Morales, Jessica Jones). Every time he's been put on a book with characters I already loved, he goes wildly OOC with them. Drives me crazy. Remender's work is just awful to be me across the board.
@Thenomain I don't adjust my pull all that often -- I probably add more than I subtract -- so I can say it's not a weekly adjustment or anything. I drop books once I stop being entertained by them, but more often that's more of a "Eh, I'm just not into it" than a "WHY IS THIS AWFUL."
It's actually the most frustrating when I find myself taking major issue with a writer I otherwise really like. (See: Gillen on Iron Man. He's not the only one, just the one I think of first.) I'm just like

Also, don't write me bitchy emails when I politely ask you to send a higher-res version of the photo you want to use. No, you most definitely did not use a 960x960 pixel image on posters or a billboard. Don't worry, though! I know how to use reverse GIS to find a size -- closer to what we actually need. It's cool, it's not like you should have this on hand for your own client.
It's the only social media I use from the western world because, frankly, social media in the west is toxic sludge and I only have X amount of energy to spend wading into the slime pool to find the drain.

@Ghost You can't police other people's language about what is and isn't too mean or rude to exist outside the Hog Pit and then tell them not to call out your own language. But you've already basically said that there's no way for your own language to be a part of any disagreement here, just my interpretation. So. No, I don't foresee that much constructive debate between us in the future on this.

I'm very behind the times but Final Fantasy XV is now out for PC and I have a problem and it's called being on this roadtrip 24/7 while listening to old Final Fantasy soundtracks. Haha jk it's not a problem it's great

@packrat When I started streaming a little, I had to turn down the game volume in my stream software a goooooood deal (and keep my mic volume at 100). Your voice is still pretty hard to hear.
@Tinuviel I get that that's the point? Both of the solutions accomplish the same thing. I'm saying that one of them is a one-time setup and one of them requires repeated admin work forever.
I think it'd be more than fair for the mods to just start deleting posts and telling people to relocate if they want to have those conversations. And give people warnings for repeat behavior.
Wasn't programming originally thought of as "women's work" way back in the day? And then that shifted when people realized the incredible power and potential of it, and so it became a "man's field" and that's why the rates of female programmers a couple decades ago were higher?

You could allow a telnet client to connect and make the same commands people have always been used to, but also provide a web client that runs off a restful API. These things are not mutually exclusive.
I mean, Faraday has already talked about how doing backwards compatibility with telnet makes her job harder. I've heard multiple developers talk about how to really do what they want to do, they need to move beyond telnet, and that the restful API isn't actually adequate to their plans and needs.
