Back to back jury trials next week. Also my job to figure out how to get coverage for the initial appearances during my trials because my boss will be out of town. Everything is terrible and my EAR STILL HURTS.

RE: MU Things I Love
I had a really good scene this week, and it is a week that has been otherwise shitty in a variety of RL ways, so now I am looking back on that really good scene and feeling good about it. Thank you, RP partner, for giving me a really good scene that had surprising depth and meat.

In this case they're specifically a limited kind of alt, i.e., magic free, so I feel like this is just encouraging existing players to flesh out the 'small town' ambience rather than really increasing gm load any. Ymmv, I'm not staff and have no plans to alt, but it isn't like alts are open like some kind of free for all here.

RE: What's your favorite MU* client?
Yeah I loved simplemu but its lack of color support killed it.
Potato's spawns are garbage, Atlantis forever.

RE: criticism not allowed in ad threads is only enforcing a false positive, prove me wrong
@thenomain I really wish you would stop doing this. I have been trying really hard not to get into it with you over it. We have a lot of friends in common that I really don't want to upset by making war about it, especially when I know that it will just upset you and them to no purpose.
But I think you're presenting what happened in a very unfair way because your feelings were hurt and you're disappointed that you won't get to play with your friends on SL, and I sympathize with those things.
So all I'm going to say here is that they're not questionable staff. They're not inexperienced staff. I've been playing and running games with @tat in particular since 2005. And if "four people" are going to anonymously support your position? OK. I guess you were "warned", then.

I still don't understand what the heck a msbwiki would even be for

@tinuviel I mean if they aren't shoving their tears at me or other people, I don't mind if they want to have a cry somewhere. Just so long as it isn't being used as a weapon against others.

RE: MU Things I Love
MU things I love includes players who take negative consequences for their character and immediately turn them into more story -- and immediately reach out to others -- without dissolving into tears, recriminations and blame.

RE: Tools, and not just Beiber.
I hate OOC rooms. I find them spammy and overwhelming and difficult to break into. It's like being an introvert trapped in a permanent party full of people I only vaguely know.
I have no idea why channels feel so much less intrusive to me, but they really, really do.

RE: Ideal Scene Length?
@lisse24 2 1/2 to 3 hours is about the sweet spot, I think.

RE: Spirit Lake - Discussion
People who are expecting high magic or a high fantasy Arx alternative will be disappointed anyhow, since that isn't what it is.
I'm also sorry for those who wanted to play and didn't make it. Apps may open again in the future when some of the excitement has died down and the staffers on the game have recovered from the zerg rush. Otherwise I strongly encourage people who feel this thirst to think about game building. Like ... more low fantasy modern games that aren't WoD. People clearly want that. A lot.

RE: A theme-less, CGen-less game
I don't think this is something that I would use at all, but if other people want a blank slate to sandbox on, it's no skin off my nose.
