@sab Hello! I think I have rped with you like, one time ever maybe, but LOTS of people I like say you're cool. Maybe one day I will catch you!
This is totally a post worth making, what?

I know I'm late to the Spiderverse party but holy shit it was so good and I am so happy about it.
I went to law school without a clear goal in mind. I won't say it was a mistake. I landed on my feet and I'm pretty good at it. People tell me I'm doing the lord's work. I'm certainly doing someone's work.
I do tell people not to go to law school pretty routinely, though. For many it seems that 'law school' is somehow a magic ticket to success and money and I don't believe this is the case. Except for patent attorneys.
I've been reading this thread trying to come up with interesting facts about me and I know there must be some. I'll be back if I figure any out.
I call it collaborative storytelling when asked to explain what my hobbies are by random humans.
I do think the github is probably the best place for actual constructive feedback. A lot of the discussions on the systems discussion board are half-assed at best, and many of the suggestions on it are ...
is there a constructive way to say dumb?
Maybe, "not designed for the kind of game Arx is/wants to be". I don't want to be unfair to people who have ideas that are not my ideas, but sometimes I do see suggestions get floated where it's like... I think you are just playing a different game than this one in your head. I D K.
I like to run events, but also it is exhausting and I hate it. Whether I am running events depends entirely on which part of this preference is dominant at any given time. Prestige rewards aren't really germaine to that, I don't think. I'm not sure what the solution is, though. Perhaps if there were a RL chocolate and/or alcohol delivery system involved with event-hosting.
There's no REQUIREMENT that it be at a huge event, just a bonus if it is. The only requirement is that it be in public with other humans, as opposed to in your room by yourself.
People definitely know that modeling exists, though. This is a reduction in numbers from people using the command before.
Haggle has already been delinked from prestige, hasn't it?
I'm really bummed about this. Skywater was a fun player, a good GM, a good gamerunner, and just one of those people who managed to keep it together even when players were flinging shit and being stupid. I loved RPing with her and I was sad we lost touch. I knew she had health issues but it's just heartbreaking the world lost her last year.
It's a balance and it can be difficult. This work of mindfulness is definitely a critical first step though. Hang in there, a lot of us are muppetflailing nerds in the end.
Sometimes a scene is just good. It's quiet and atmospheric and in character and good. It doesn't have to be long or epic and dramatic to remind you why you're still in this hobby in the first place.
@derp You said you were out, so I suggest you stop. Your failure to get it won't change and neither will the frustration of the people you are arguing with.
@kanye-qwest I also think "don't take it on yourself to publicly white knight for people who don't put on their big girl pants" would be a good lesson to take from this whole deal.
