RE: RL things I love
I love bath bombs. I have two hoarded in my cabinet for stress emergencies.

RE: Development Thread: Sacred Seed
I think I'm going to go into somebody's 8-page dev thread with the record of the hours and hours of work someone has put into a project and tell them not to bother, because . . .
You know, reasons.

RE: Former Bliss turned Cassandra@Arx
My one regret about that Cass/Fatima was not getting to RP with her more before she disappeared.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@arkandel Like most things, this varies by jurisdiction and context. There are a lot of women out there a lot worse off than I am, for example.
But I think my generation of women lawyers is fortunate to have a lot of help and mentoring from previous generations, who fought through the shit chest deep and brought it down to a more manageable level (say, ankle to knee).
I find most of the obnoxious sexism I deal with comes from clients, not colleagues or court personnel. Like when I have to go get my boss for a meeting to repeat literally exactly the same words I just said...

RE: MSB, SJW, and other acronyms
I feel like no arguments get more heated in the constructive part of the forum than arguments about our moderation standards. I've now read this whole thread and I'm honestly not sure why.

RE: MSB, SJW, and other acronyms
@deadculture Cheeky cunt sounds kinda cute, like a vagina you might want to hang out with. I'm usually a stupid cunt. Or just a cunt, by itself.

RE: MSB, SJW, and other acronyms
4 people have called me that since. They were all in handcuffs at the time. 2 were women! I'm pretty inured now.
Can someone else be the cunt example next time, maybe? That was like a year ago.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
I was out sick with awful stomach flu for a week. Paying clients: super understanding and full of commiseration and thanks for how hard I work getting caught up. Court staff: accommodating and reasonable. Coworkers: thankful I was not there getting them sick. Prosecutors: joking about what would have happened if I threw up in front of jury, generally reasonable and nice about it.
Public appointed clients: in varying stages of passive aggressive tantrum, many claiming that I never met with them before anyway (despite all evidence) and clearly never do any work on their case and the world is ending.

RE: MU Things I Love
Sometimes an event scene can just be pure light-hearted fun and no one is a jerk and it's just a bunch of players sitting around genuinely enjoying the game and RPing about nothing doomy even when I inflict banjos on them.

RE: Why did you pick your username?
Sao was a character I played on a Pern game, and then the smash came while I was playing Bruce Banner on a game.

RE: Rosters: To PB or Not To PB?
What does bug me is when people use the same PB for characters who are 20 years apart. Step off my 40 year old hotness, you kids. Get off my lawn!

RE: Rosters: To PB or Not To PB?
@coin It was a specific example of a real thing that happened. Staff did step in eventually. The point I was making though is still the basic players gonna be players point.

RE: Rosters: To PB or Not To PB?
@three-eyed-crow I was thinking more along the lines of, "This character has a POC PB and is described unambiguously as a POC, but I'm gonna use Jared Leto."
People are ultimately gonna do what they're gonna do, with rosters. Sometimes, you're going to be frustrated. It is the Way of Things.

RE: Rosters: To PB or Not To PB?
@scar I mean it can but ... sometimes it doesn't.
In my experience characters with PBs are more likely to get players than characters without. Personally I would be more likely to take one without because I can be obnoxiously choosy about PBs. But experience has taught me that having the pic helps get a player.
Unless it is a terrible PB pic. Then replacing it is critical.

RE: What isn't CGen for?
I know a lot of people hate writing backgrounds. For me it helps a character gel in my head to write one so I'll do it even places they aren't required. But as a staffer mostly what I use it for is spotting places a character concept isn't fitting with my atmosphere / theme. Players with a shaky grasp of the game they're joining will do weird stuff in the background and it will give me the opportunity to catch that and guide them.
A lot of these questions seem WoD specific and I dunno. I've apped two different WoD games and never plan to do so again so I have no real input on that besides I hate WoD CG. >.>

@scar said in @Arx: Anonymous Messengers (Answered):
@saosmash You know how rich ladies on tv shows always hug each other with their eyes wide open right before ruining one another's galas? That's what I'm doing to you right now.
You're seriously just going to destroy me. This is like a battle of wits with the unarmed!!
