IDK, I mean, if somebody is OOC uncomfortable with something I want to know that so that I can make them not uncomfortable, but that's not limited to sex. For example, I edited a tabletop scene recently because it was upsetting a player that I was making sad dog noises when some murderdogs were getting hurt, and I stopped doing it because why would I want to make my players uncomfortable?

@sunny I just wish I could upvote that more than once. Characters = / = players. I don't care what your kinks are, you don't know what mine are . . . !

I used to TS more but like KQ says, who has time? I can't tell you how many times in the past year my character has been making out with someone and I've had to like time-out symbol to the other player like, "Um, I'm sorry, but we're past my bedtime now because I have to get up at 5 AM."

I do always require that there be story impetus behind the TS and also, second person posing is weird. But generally speaking it's rare for a character of mine to be at that point with someone who I don't already know and trust.

That doesn't mean I won't cause ... uh, hilarious coitus interruptus to happen, for example, but that's not really TS I guess.

I will say that most of my rp here has been in house but that is largely because my time is limited and I don't know what I'm doing. I'm sure I will continue to wander about and branch out as time passes and I grow more accustomed and as I escape the gauntlet that has been work the last month or so.

Game is pretty new. I like it so far.

I'm not really sure what my type is at this point. I am repeatedly drawn to characters with story themes about identity. Who am I is a question I enjoy playing with.

All of my characters end up with a fucking dorky sense of humor.

I dunno, I feel like "I reject your apology because I think it is manipulative and disingenuous" or whatever is a reasonably civil way to respond to an apology you find insincere as opposed to being like "you're a garbage person and that's a garbage apology" and then you can go to the hog pit your own self to be like "holy shit HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME."

Oh my gooood the immediate page thing. This is the equivalent of being pounced the second I walk in the door. Whyyyyyyy.

Lost and Found actually has / had a dedicated staffer whose job it was to help onboard people new to the medium. With help of newbies they had a cheat sheet developed for helping people who had never touched a mush before figure stuff out. Primarily they recruited by going to the fandom we are attached to and reaching out to tumblr rpers.

In order to help people who have never touched this kind of gaming before in my experience you really do need to really want to help people who have never touched the game before. We have all been playing in this medium so long it is hard to come up with stuff on our own to help those folks. A lot of them balk from the beginning just because what do you mean "client".

I think the thing that makes me most want to RP with someone again is when they riff off of my meta in a way that is funny.

I started Arx because of a MSB thread. Otherwise, I built it ... or 'some friends dragged me' so word of mouth.

So I've been playing MLB The Show 17 for the last several weeks. It is BIZARRELY soothing to wind down with. I've never been a sports game person in my life. I'm really enjoying it. I also enjoy the character designer and its sliders for hips and glutes.

I couldn't STAND potato spawns. I look forward to Atlantis 2's double input windows though.

@kestrel has already won this game now tho.
