I didn't get huge into music until I was a teenager, then I was poor and pirated. It was basically streaming music that was my first, legitimate ownership of music rights, and it's felt really relieving to be able to do that - plus, I've found a ton of things I probably never would have found otherwise through using Spotify.

It was pretty much a lifechanger for me.

@mietze Peak week is a terrifying time for a lot of people. I'm so glad you have things that can help you at home now, and I am so scared of my own asthma flaring back up someday in the future. I can't even imagine the relief of not having to make a trip to the hospital while being unable to really breathe.

I suspect you might be a tiny bit biased here, @Pandora. Just a teensy bit.

It's really about 50/50, PC/Phone. But I try to warn if I'm phoning it in and for the most part just avoid large scenes on it.

@BobGoblin Without delving into the politics of it, because that's a whole other board, the questions that determine whether or not philanthropy is enough for us to like someone are these three:

1. How did he get that money?
2. What else did he do with that money?
3. Did the good in his life offset the harm?

For many, many people, the answer to number three, in particular, is a very firm no. This is not just about one bad act.

Edit: I firmly don't believe in death invalidating all the harm caused in someone's life, or this idea that we should respect the dead just because they are dead. Death is not a free pass to forgiveness, and glossing over the harm they caused empowers other people to make the same choices.

I've landed a job at a brand new branch of a company that landed a contract in the area for the first time, and as such, have had the experience of working remotely for an extended period of time ... while there isn't much workload as we try to define the terms of the project. I know things are about to get crazy - I got pulled on because I know exactly how crazy the wireless industry actually is at its peak and thrive in that, and anyone who knows anything about it knows that some major things are about to go down in regards to 5G. But I never realized how much I would thrive working remotely. How much better my focus is just being able to sit in my room.

Not to mention I am cautiously optimistic about management willing to take on a full team and pay them even before we are able to really get moving, just so we all have the opportunity to work together a bit - and the fact that I've worked with about half of my team before.

@Coin Oh god, I'm definitely not Diamond. I usually land at about Silver 2 and have a ton I can work on. I didn't even finish my placements last split.

@Coin At the same time, your gains and losses are adjusted to reflect that fact. If you're hardstuck but a higher MMR, you should be able to climb out if you play enough games, and you can even skip divisions.

It's a dumb system still, but I always find that when I put the effort into climbing it happens pretty steadily.
