I'm having the same issue. Tried tapping mark all notifications read repeatedly, every time I got into a topic to read, they reappear. They do not show up on the see all notifications page.

The numbers keep alternating, slightly maddening.

Speaking of Trolling, we were just having coffee RP the other day when we were trolled by a faceless man, who came through the door but was only detectable by some of us. That caused a bit of IC freakout!

      Shakes fist at @tragedyjones

(P.S. In case that wasn't clear, this refers to a a GOOD kind of trolling).

    • RE: MU Things I Love

      I have to start with...

I love it when a plan comes together!

I love being surprised, like others here.
Being made to laugh out loud, I have a soft spot for comic relief types.
On occasion, I love falling into someone elses verbal trap... and having to just keep right on plodding through "I meant to do that, Honest." while everyone knows I'm full of shit. 😄

Hmmm. Seems to allow you to check more than one answer. Or was that intentional?

    • RE: How did you discover text-based gaming?

@SG Torn between answering.... "Who?" and this....

Remember, when some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

Ever was fairly okay. I think the short desc at the time was tiny something hate something. Now I'll need to poke at logs.

Let me just settle my cane here to shake at the kids on the lawn. Got a cooler of alcohol for the other old timers though...

The good old days of 1994 and the RPG chatrooms in Prodigy.net, then over to AOL. and RDI.

Was introduced to RPG's on mIRC, notably InterCity which gave me a system to play with finally. Some other IRC games.

Then someone pointed me at a SW "RP" MUD -Shattered Equinox.

From there to Masquerade Mush... thank god. (post-caine BS), and then on and on to MU*dom, with a few brief forays back into IRC RPG's, and a revisit to Shattered Equinox when it actually WAS about the RP.

Psssh. Just waits until he games with @Miss-Demeanor, I have to watch for sudden but inevitable betrayal in every game/round. She's a patient cagey one, she is.

You name a Civ religion poking fun at her ONE time... 😄

If only you people could actually hear this cackle. I was on skype... and have been haunted ever since.

I like the MSP group myself for it's unofficial theme like some sort of a Lawman's Star Chamber.

But I can see how people want to be Beeker, too.

Has anyone mentioned The Expanse yet? Syfy is finally getting it's roots back. Though seriously, I'm dying for the next season of Killjoys.

    • RE: How hard should staff enforce theme?

The conversation needs to happen. Theme is there for a reason. I agree with whats been said before but bears repeating. If they don't give a shit about your theme, they won't give a shit about your game.

If it's being broken in something that maybe not plausable, but a "No, But.." compromise can be reached, on one hand that's not bad. But the problem is this, now you're entering the realm of 'case by case' basis. The second issue, is how much work you have to put into the idea conversion versus they contribute to it.

I'm more willing to help out someone going 'Gotcha, what if I did X,Y, and Z with it instead?" especially if it's an honest attempt not just asking me the same thing rephrased differently tactic.
