I think the big difference between KOTOR and Mass Effect 1 though is that you rarely, if ever, saw these same maps back to back.If you play side missions like me, you will. Get a whole bunch and then kick them out one after another. But that's just me and that might be endemic of ME1 itself. Play the game and have a good time of it, but any side mission that I pick up that's not on the three main hub worlds or the Citadel I just leave to languish in my mission que. And then before the endgame, just go and hammer them out because they'll have effects in ME2.
Is it weird that I have a written list of the only side quests in ME1 that had an actual effect in ME2 and didn't bother with the rest?
Oh, something I didn't really add from my mouth vomit last night, which doesn't read as well as I'd hope, because again, I had just gotten home from work.
SUPER HOT TAKE: The Legacy DLC from DA2 may in fact be better than the vaunted Lair of the Shadow Broker from ME2.

RE: Bad TV
@silverfox Fairly certain it loosely follows the Marvel Zombies limited series a few years ago, back when DC was doing Brightest Day Darkest Night, which was also kind of undead based.
And in the comics, it pretty much ended the same way.
Also, DC is doing a series called DCeased, which is another undead/zombie storyline. But I will say that was a fascinating storyline.

It's been four years since I last touched Dragon Age Inquisition. Going to give it another go and see how I feel about it so many years after it's came out.
I still dislike how grindy it is.

RE: Critters!
My cats.
Bubba(otherwise know as Bubs, Mr. Bubbles, Bubba-wabba-ding-dong, Babaganuche, and DAT BOI) : Ear-clipped rescue I adopted as an attempt to have company for my Old Man(who passed away last December). Bubba was from a hoarding situation and was super skittish for about a year and a half before warming up to me and my fiance. He now is one biggest cuddle bugs ever, throwing himself into your side. He loves all other cats, and he is never the problem when introducing new cats, hoping to be friends(which gives evidence that he came from house that hoarded cats). Still is terrified of plastic bags, loud noises, and people he doesn't know. Has the most perfect beans, but beware, they are extra spicy beans.
Zuchinni(otherwise known as Zuzu, Zuzubean, Fluffernaut, Precious-Baby-Angel, She Who Cannot Be Contained, and "She is Baby") She is the youngest of the three and also the oddest. The kind of cat that loves to be pet, but haaaaates it if you pick her up, as the crying will start. She was the runt of her litter, so she has a large body, but tiny head. She also the best trained, because she knows her name perfectly and comes when called. Also likes to play fetch with some of her toys. Is the one that instigates most chasing time with the other two.
Fuzz(otherwise known as Fuzzy, Old Man Fuzz, Mr. Fuzzles, The Most Tired One, and Dapper Dan): The oldest, and the resident Old Man of the house. We adopted this old 14 year old cat because partly because after losing my cat of 16 years, I wanted to adopt another senior cat because I felt that more older cats deserve a good home in their twilight years. And the other part was simply because there was a hole left in my heart from my Old Man's passing. And we just like having three cats. Fuzz has taken awhile to acclimate to the house, but seems to like it here. Granted, he has this thing where he has to sleep on clothes. Dirty clothes, clean clothes, doesn't matter, so long as he's sleeping on clothes. I have found him in the most interesting places because clothes happend to be there. It has thus proven that for as slow moving and sleepy as he is, he can be energetic, he doesn't choose to very often.

RE: General Video Game Thread
So. Death Stranding release finally announced for Nov 8th. Along with a nearly 9 minute debut trailer.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HBJUHbjdIU
Everyone: So, what is this game?
Kojima: Yes.There are certain times where I look at MUing and think on the levels of creativity I've seen. And then I look at the shit that comes out of Kojima's head and it's either brilliant in a way that I can't quite understand or it's nonsensical and everyone just says it's great. Maybe both.

RE: The ADD/ADHD Thread (cont'd from Peeves)
@insomniac7809 When my fiance was finally diagnosed with a adult ADHD(which in of itself was a trial), she had to go to a psychologist to be properly prescribed Ritalin, which was eventually switched to Adderall.
Her consoler couldn't even prescribe that, she had to refer her to a literal psychologist in order to get a proper medication.
Not believing ADHD is a thing is just kind of mind-boggling. Do they believe in leeches as well?

Ghostwire would've been more interesting if they showed actual gameplay.
In fact a lot of the games I saw during the press conferences would've been more interesting if they had shown actual gameplay.
Trailers mean nothing.

RE: RL Sads
I deal with chronic nerve pain in my right arm due to a rib that doesn't like to sit where it should in my spine.
Regularly seeing a chiropractor had helped alleviate this pain by a large margin. But there are time when he adjusts it that it doesn't pop back into place like it should.
And when it doesn't do that, I get tingly pain all down my arm into my fingers. It's not debilitating buy it does really suck.
And I just wish someone would take a bat to the back of my shoulder.

There was something written on this and a lot of this goes back to Tencent and the fact that it owns various percentages of a lot of different industry publishers.
I would make some kind of scathing commentary that falls along the lines of how freedoms only apply to capitalism when it convenient, but many others have already made the same statements, and more eloquently put at that.

@RDC I don't quite get your meaning, but that might just be because leaving FB was one of the best decisions I made in my life.

RE: RL Anger
Pro: Going out on a date for the first time in almost a year with a super cute nerdy woman who's around my age, who has her shit together, and plays DnD. Thicc an nerdy, that's how I like'em.
Con: Getting a call from her the next day to say she's come down with something nasty, and then proceed to be laid up in bed because you caught the viral laryngitis that she gave me. Also, spent four hours in the ER, and then another hour or so getting fluid pumped into me via IV because I was too dehydrated since I couldn't swallow anything because my throat hurt so much.
Side Pro: Found out what morphine feels like. Holy shit.

Realizing you've only had 7 hours of sleep, 4 hours one day and 3 hours today respectively, for the past 72 hours. Because your insomnia is that bad right now.

RE: General Video Game Thread
I must be playing a different game. Because TLOU2 that I'm playing is absolutely a tire fire of a game. It plays like a game made for the PS3. And it basically shits on the last games story in an effort to be as completely edgy as possible. And so far, they literally made what amounts for a side quest last ten hours? To what? Introduce characters that have zero redeeming traits.
But. It is really pretty I will say that much.

RE: RL Anger
When you're sitting in your new apartment wondering what to do when you have no internet and a handful of local channels that are showing your long ads on how to reduce back pain.
So boot up the Xbox. Only I can't play any of my saves because it says I don't have the dlc for it. Check the xbox's hard drive. Well it's all there just like you thought. But because you're not online its going to tell the game you don't have it which means your saves are all but useless. Which also means the only thing available to play is skyrim. But you've played skyrim to death.
To utter death.
The morning cannot come soon enough. T
Spectrum better be here with bells on.You know, I do remember a time in my life where I could perfectly fine without internet. I call those times the dark ages. At least when it comes to gaming in any form.

I'm a fan of Sith Warrior storyline.
The Smuggler wasn't as fun as I was hoping it'd be.
