So, a little background, first:

I'm married. My husband and I are in our late 20s. Dragon Ball Z was a thing we both grew up on because uber nerds even then.
He works nights (so sleeps during the day), and frequently talks in his sleep.

The thing I love (other than that silly, infuriating man)

Just got home from work, and when I went to hug him and say hi, I scared him awake. Or so I thought.

I say sorry, and he procedes to say:

"It's ok! The other guy at the NOC (where he works) scares me too. He's alive again too. Keeps dying, and coming back. Alive and dead. I'm glad you're alive too."

To which I ask: "What? Who's dead and now alive?"

"You know who I'm talking about (exasperated huff). You KNOW! Freeza!"

TL:DR - Apparently Freeza is back, and works with my husband.

Dying laughing.

It's very sad indeed. RL seems to have eaten most everyone involved, as one of the major issues.

My first real 6am shift in over a month.
On new meds - stupidly drank caffeine after taking them, so I was up until 2am.
Dreamed about not getting enough sleep for three hours (there were at least puppies involved).
I'm angry at my brain
(and anyone perky at 6am. Fuck you people)

I was curious about Fiverr.com so I took a look and... Good grief, $5 for a portrait? That doesn't even cover a fraction of the cost of supplies o__o

I've always found that, for me, coloring is a lot easier than black and white because I don't focus on the details as much. But maybe that's me. I only do traditional art, though. Could never really get behind the digital stuff, even though I have a tablet that's currently collecting dust.

@tragedyjones - Always did love a lot of the drawings in the books. I've noticed a good quality pencil sketch is usually somewhere in the $25- $40 ballpark. Again, I really only pay attention to the traditional stuff, though. No idea if it's a digital thing that could be done, if that's preferred (most likely can - technology, man). Probably something else to consider - Digital or Traditional?

Now I feel kinda old too... Jeez guys << haha.

Pricing is always hard. How do you put a price on art, anyway? Always a tough call if you're trying to make a living off of it.
There are a ton of folks on Etsy who do commissions too. Really anywhere there's art posted... I know that's likely less than helpful >>
@tragedyjones ! If you get something done, you should totally share love seeing people's characters come to life.

I think it depends on the artist, too. I do commissions in general, and Roz is right - $70 - $90 seems to be about the norm.

I know there are a lot of folks on DeviantArt that do commissions if you can wade through all of that. Might want to check out Instagram, too. A lot of artists post their stuff up there

Hey folks!

Just wanted to put up a quick thing about Keep Austin Wyrd/TexMUX. It's still alive! There's currently new Headstaff, as RL seems to have caught up with Chromeo, but FoxStevenson seems pretty darn gung ho about getting things going again

Everything game-wise is the same as it was - no change in rules or setting, or big plot things or anything, with the change-over. I believe it's intended to give the game back to original HS if RL slows down enough for them to do so.

It seems like these days, most people who are around can be around weekday evenings, but I for one would love to see some more folks checking out the game! Definitely one of the easier and most handy CG's I've been through, and the code and such is pretty awesome, from the standpoint of someone who does not understand that kind of magic.

I've had mild issues with depression for a few years now, but it's sort of come to a head lately. One of those things where you only realize after the fact, how much of a lunatic you've been. Affecting my job I still have to have until I can find a new one, affecting my personal life and just...everything. So frustrating.

One of my best friends since high school finally has a girlfriend he feels is ok to bring around the rest of us. He Moved in with her and everything, which is a super big deal for him. She is awesome and I really hope they stay together. I've been the only girl in our group of friends for 12 years....which is fine, but sometimes it's nice to have some more estrogen around, haha.

Just got called to do an interview for a job I applied for. It's a video interview, which I suck at more than rl interviews (sad), and is totally going to be terrible, but I'm excited anyway. Need out of this retail food industry bs!

I sent a portrait of Rhett and Link from the YouTube channel Good Mythical Morning, in the hopes that they like it enough to show to the world, and it should arrive there todayish. I'm just excited that I had the guts to, more or less, advertise myself, haha.

I seem to have dragged myself back out of a depressed rut again... Totally going to take advantage while it lasts! Life is slightly less awful than I usually perceive it to be, today! Yay!
