@thebird I'd suggest starting with Baker Street. It's an RP Meme community and a good way to get started. There are story based communities as well. Be advised a lot of the memes on Baker Street have a sexual or romantic element to them, but plenty of them don't. Also, Dreamwidth RP tends to focus on "feature characters" from media and pop culture, rather than original creations, though those are out there too. Good luck!

@ThatGuyThere My kids don't follow sports, so I'm not worried about it. XD He just happens to like bright orange and royal blue. And you know what, there's few enough white kids that can really pull off orange, I'm happy to let him.

I'll definitely have to re-check out DeviantArt prints and such. I've heard mixed reviews about all that.

A coworker did suggest I list my prints (if they do this) on the new Amazon Handmade website, and keep my special orders on Etsy. Might look into that, too. Amazon Handmade looks like it has a lot of potential for exposure, too.

Probably should have preambled my original post with : I'm looking to sell my own artwork somewhere, other than just on Etsy.

I've noticed a lot of artists sell their stuff so cheap, too. How the hell does anyone make a living off of this? No wonder there's the stereotype of a starving artist. Crazy people.

You gave it a good run, and that's what matters. It's hard to take up a game from other people, particularly if you end up needing to do adjustments. The learning experience is very important, and you'll get there.

As an aside, if you ever want to bounce single-sphere ideas off of someone, let me know. I love Changeling the Lost quite a bit, and I can at least put the constantly-running WoD part of my brain to extra use beyond the code for my own game.

I think that might depend on the players in this particular instance, the 50's flare kind of stuff. As far as I'm concerned, I'm more into providing the environment, and seeing what the players do with it, in regards to flare. Definitely more into the survival aspects than the rebuilding, myself. Or, at least rebuilding on a smaller, more extended scale. Been on a few games in the past that totally destroyed the fun of the post-apocalypse genre for me, by everything getting put back together in a month or two, in tip top shape.

That said, for game system, I think we're leaning toward the Exodus system, though we're considering nWoD as well, if only because the later is more familiar to the two of us.

I know this is pretty vague at this point, but personally, I'd like a good mix of drama/combat things. Mystery and intrigue is good! I prefer a good mystery over hack n' slash most of the time. So we'll see where that goes. Going to try to keep some updates coming for those folks who are interested, when we get some more things set in stone.

We just need to find a coder who's interested! 🙂
