Anyone do cosplay? Setting up a group cosplay for DragonCon next year that involves armor, and wondering where to get those sorts of supplies, or if anyone has suggestions on cheap but good looking ways to do costumes..?

What gets me is that, according to comments on various forms, there was a push from Geek Chic to get money from folks to ship their items, and then they announced going out of business and never shipped anything. What kind of bullshit is that? Not cool.
Just glad we could get our money back. There's a place in Greece that makes tables like that... ...maybe someday.

We we're going to go to rooms to go, but we ended up putting the returned money to a new AC and furnace, since both of ours completely crapped out yesterday. Damnit.

Geek Chic went bankrupt. Which means that we won't be getting the custom game table we paid about $8K for. We will be getting our money back from PayPal and Capital One. But damnit. We saved for years to finally get one and we were supposed to get it in October.
Kind of silly to be angry about, but...there it is.

Additionally, when I spoke with the dude from Capital one, he didn't know what I was talking about, "Geek Chic...oh I see here ma'am, you mean Geek Chick"

No. That's not what I meant. Stop making my board-game-nerd-outrage worse.

Sounds kind of like my mother in law. She doesn't hardly find anything funny, either. How her children turned out to be any kind of "normal" it's beyond me.
I love comedies. I don't understand how someone can't at least smile while watching something like Who's Line Is It Anyway. Or something like that.

Totally love baby Motrin. Which is the only reason this house will get any sleep in an hour or so. Teething babies are lame and pitiful.

He's a goofball and a scaredy cat.

We just had a baby and my husband is convinced the dog and our little girl are going to be best buds, so he keeps propping her up on him when he's sleeping. Then he'll wake up like "wtf is this thing".

Although, whenever she cries, he's taken to standing near her and whining. We can't tell if it's because he's concerned, wants her to shut up, or is sympathising. Either way it's kind of cute.

For the sake of compiling resources, I've had good luck with Pinterest and Deviant art... But I also don't like using actors for PBs. So if you're looking for some more not well known faces, you can search for characteristics you're looking for at those places.

Easily one of my favorite movies now. It was done so well, too. Totally impressed all around.

I was 16 when I got my first video game and console. My parents were adamant that I shouldn't play video games because it was a waste of time. I ended up putting together my own computer when I was 12 and I guess after four years of me spending all my time on that thing, they gave up...
Anyway, I got the PS2 and Final Fantasy X. Ended up playing that game straight through for two days during my winter break from school. It was great.

I was out of money and insurance and inhaler meds a few years ago. Ended up having to go to the ER. That feeling of suffocating slowly is so not fun. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm aware that everyone, especially parents, are about to laugh at this but... Damnit...

Can't follow my mildly obsessive compulsive day to day schedule with a five week old baby around, and it's totally stressing me out. Time to readjust...cue every free waking moment today, obsessively planning and organizing every activity and event for every hour for the next week...
Only to have it likely thwarted by this whole... Annoying "life" thing I have. =\

She's adorable and tiny, but that's about it.

I'll admit I'm a little sad she already grew out of my favorite feetie pajamas, though =(
