I absolutely prefer the "a kind of werewolf" Fera from the olden times. I wasn't crazy about their metaplot vis a vis Gaia, the Garou, et al., but I did like their uniqueness and individual histories.

RE: Straw Poll: XP Spending in nWoD/CoD
It's possible to have escapes, and that's how I'd do it, but I still feel funny about locking people into a system where they can be interacted with but not interact.

RE: How to use Potato MU Client
That Mu was using a pure soft coded pose system, too. So.

RE: Cheap or Free Games!
How does it compare to Planescape: Torment? I did not play it for the graphics or the models; I played it for the story, which was end to end insanely amazing.

RE: How to use Potato MU Client
Posebreak code shouldn't ignore or filter %r%r.
But you know what does? Mux's (and as far as I'm aware, only Mux's) implementation of @descformat.
So yeah, @rebekahse , can you give us a more detailed explanation of what you're typing, and on which game and possibly what platform that game is running on? Thanks.

RE: Cheap or Free Games!
I've been waiting for Torment to go on sale.
Fuck me, now is not a good time for spending more money!
At least I can get fuel points out of the gift cards, right? That makes it not as bad, right?!

RE: Lords and Ladies Game
You know what my pet peeve is? Double standards. If you're going to crow about being aware, be aware. This isn't the Hog Pit, yet you're acting like it is. You're disrespecting the thread topic to go on a personal vendetta. Sure, I've been there too, but this is the only second post in this thread where I haven't addressed the topic.
Somewhere in my head I do believe that trying to neg people needs addressed and pointed out, that's my failing. Prove me wrong and just swallow it whole and become constructive and on topic again. And be aware.
Edit: And don't twist my words. I really hate that. Hopefully you can understand what it's like when someone does.

RE: Lords and Ladies Game
I'm not sure what this has to do with which Lords & Ladies games are out there which I hope we're all aware is the purpose of this thread. Perhaps awareness is not the same as consideration.

RE: Lords and Ladies Game
Well, when two people act like I've been massively burned I can handle it, but that third person? Man, I'mma going to flip the fuck out. I mean, I have to entertain people and not be boring, right? The people demand non-boringness, and we must do what people demand; we have to be the monkey dancing for their pleasure.
Someone flips that water bottle and everyone goes crazy.

RE: Lords and Ladies Game
... What?
edit: More to a point, why in the world would I post an image that's an insult to me? I'm pretty good at being self-demeaning but ... what?

RE: Card Prototyping Tools
@HelloProject
Scrivener is for people writing books and scripts, with good tools to do so. The "no-distraction" full screen mode is available in almost everything these days, including just hitting "full screen" button (better on the Mac, but eh).

RE: Raising Baby Gamers
Are you planning on archiving the adventures? I think we, and even a lot of people not here, would love them.

RE: Lords and Ladies Game
To reiterate: The only way to win is not to play.

RE: Straw Poll: XP Spending in nWoD/CoD
More fussing.
> xp/spend/arcane=3 gnosis Okay, I'll raise Gnosis by 1 point by spending 3 Arcane XP and 2 Normal XP. > xp/spend/arcane=2/awesome=1 gnosis Okay, I'll raise Gnosis by 1 point by spending 2 Arcane XP, 1 Awseoms XP, and 2 Normal XP.

RE: Lords and Ladies Game
Well I mean, to be honest I know why I'm not entirely welcome on Arx: In part, I like to break down problems into core components and get impatient when I can't explore some deep core elements. Also, part Welsh and part Redhead and part American. Not American Indian, just White American. While I did spend a good part of my life as an Anglophile, I realized later in life it was the sardonic humor and expert understanding of satire. I don't really understand Lords & Ladies games, and who likes someone breaking down their favorite genre down to its core components? Not many people want to bother with it in the middle of their pretendy-fun-time sexy people society.
Also not welcome: Using ludology to prove that "The Game" is not a game.
Also to those people who play it: You lost The Game.
To everyone else: The only way to win is not to play.

RE: General Video Game Thread
So because of a sale I, er, just now started playing Wolfenstein: New World Order.
It's...it's good. It's very good.
