@kitteh Same (not counting missing poses in large scenes.). Although, if it's 'X ignores at Y.' I'm not going to approach and be all 'WTF?!' because to me just a single line f ignoring someone is not an indication to RP, at least to me. Even if someone wants to take their time joining a scene (people have and just do 'X is looking around.' I generally have my bit 'Y keeps an eye on X in case they need something.'

This is a constant obstacle for me. One of the flags for "friend material" is someone who doesn't flip out if I miss mention of my character in a pose. They will page or even publicly mention it, which is fine. It happens.

To some of us it happens a lot.

Fwiw, that's generally all that's required for me to pick someone out in a scene and pose at or engage them. Just seeing my name in someone else's pose is a basic flag for 'RP maybeeeee?'

This is why I have my character's names highlighted. I can say though that if someone waves at my character in a scene, I generally just assume it's a greeting. Now if someone waves my character over to theirs? Then I assume that we're about to oil up and throw some words at one another.

@Lotherio which is done, Silvertree has a program to restart known games on the server. Hardly down for long, usually done for a minute or three and back up.

Well I mean, to be honest I know why I'm not entirely welcome on Arx: In part, I like to break down problems into core components and get impatient when I can't explore some deep core elements. Also, part Welsh and part Redhead and part American. Not American Indian, just White American. While I did spend a good part of my life as an Anglophile, I realized later in life it was the sardonic humor and expert understanding of satire. I don't really understand Lords & Ladies games, and who likes someone breaking down their favorite genre down to its core components? Not many people want to bother with it in the middle of their pretendy-fun-time sexy people society.

Also not welcome: Using ludology to prove that "The Game" is not a game.

Also to those people who play it: You lost The Game.

To everyone else: The only way to win is not to play.

@Thenomain Not one person on our staff is incapable of dealing with pedantry, argument, or discussion - though we do shut a couple of those down in public channels (or pages, in my case) if it goes on too long or starts annoying other people. The reasons you listed are not at all what you were 'tacitly banned' for.

But, in this case, it's whatever. I think you logged on and made two characters and never rpd either of them, right? If you want to log one in and kick around with your friends, that's fine. I just don't want you logging on to arch me, because frankly you are kind of a boring nemesis.
