Went to the local Amazon Prime preview of Aquaman
It's good. Maybe not as good as the hype, but still almost as good as Wonder Woman.

      Hype?

Is the bar for DC so low that a 70% on RT where the majority of the reviews are just barely positive counts as hype?

It really doesn't belong in the same paragraph as Wonder Woman quality-wise.

Have you been concerned that Aquaman might be bad?

Well, put your worries to rest!

      It's fucking terrible!

      My god, finally saw TTGttM.

      So good.

"Robin, if your team is going to poop on the props and beat up the actors this isn't going to work."

I literally need this entire movie made into gifs.

One of my very first conversations with the guy:

@TheOnceler pages: Usually I keep my penis in my front pocket while at work,
but since I'm in the back I'm just wearing a sweatshirt and letting it
hang from my pull-ties. It's a broad-tip so it leaks ink all over the
place and everytime I reached for it I got a big mark on my hand.

      @TheOnceler pages: PENS! PENS! PENS!

It still makes me cry laughing when I read it.

      It's been like twelve years.

      Let me be!

Netflix is firing salvos in the coming war against Disney's streaming service by locking up Alex Hirsch.

      I. Want. To. See. This. Show. YESTERDAY.

I don't even care what it is. It's going to be amazing. Put it on my fucking TV right now!

Just have sao make 600 roster characters, call it a Lords & Slayers game and watch the players roll in.

Please Buffy? Please? This is me making big eyes.

I'd love Buffy too but I have so many questions about how it'd be done, MUSH-wise.

I don't know how the others were done, but basically Devilshire was a small town with way too much magic in it and two Slayers designated to patrol it (legit it was just two slots for slayers).

In this era of "omg you can't limit slots whaaaaa" I don't know how people would do it other than, you know, maybe just no one gets to be a slayer.

If we did it again (we won't) we'd probably go with zero Slayers. Limited Slayers is just asking for Most Important Character syndrome, while unlimited Slayers is just bananas.

Though unlimited Slayers and it's a MUD might be funny for a couple of days.

Hosting a funny, silly event which doesn't end up being that well attended, and seriously doesn't matter in the micro, much less grand, scheme of things, but where everyone who comes in clearly has a blast.

      • Shit needs to stop happening that makes me agree with @TheOnceler, we have enmity that goes back like ten years and I find it very distracting to agree with him on things without also having some reason to still be mad. Don't mess with the dynamic, dude. It makes holding on to my dated, pointless grudge super difficult. Stop it.

I gotta say, taking a nice long break from this poisonous hobby makes it pretty easy to

      let it go

Devilshire is a million years ago. I've got so many other things to be angry about. I mean, I have a sister who voted for Trump.

You may want to read the part where I said I am from a country where freedom of expression (different from freedom of speech in a few ways) is basically just an empty guarantee by the federal constitution. I'm not doxing myself for your amusement. My bad.

Ah. I did not realize that you were the only person who knew this professor and as such saying his name would lead to jailtime.

      My bad.

That's a very Hog Pit-tier kind of bait, I'll say.

      Goodness, no.

      That would be more like

Guys, unmoderated free speech is bad because Hitler once did a free speech and then my great grandmother was murdered.

Such as, I know a professor who lost his job and got arrested because he posted the picture of a dark beer, and said:

What's his name? I'd like to read the story about this fellow.

You throw a 'cunt' out there, it's armageddon again. And before someone tries to apply critical theory to my argument: please don't. You can't have it both ways. Either do it in the absolute or don't do it at all.

Everyone says they want unmoderated free speech course corrected by social admonishment, but no one ever seems to want what that ends up looking like.

I like it whenever I see someone unironically use 'SJW' as a pejorative because then I know I can safely ignore anything else they ever have to say and not really miss out on much.

    • RE: Why did you pick your username?

This isn't really the name I use anywhere else, including the name I had on WORA/SWOFA where I was Bahimiron. When I came on here I wanted to be a little low key, so I picked a new name.

I picked The Once-Ler because I frequently find something I like and use it ruthlessly until there's nothing left but a barren wasteland and then I move on.
