Unfortunately, that's about 90% of the Asian character concepts I've seen about. That and all persons from middle central and south America are gang bangers with as loose a grasp on civility as is possible, etc, etc. And not all of those are caught in the CG process.

Not to excuse the outright banning of 'Asian' characters, but I can certainly understand why people would get sick and tired of stealth-shitty concepts sneaking through so just put a strongly-worded moratorium on them entirely.

I... honestly don't know how one could remove the racial concerns from the Vietnam time period or anything inspired by it. Modern history isn't really my forte, but I'm fairly sure the war had black people in it and that it was influenced by (and in turn itself influenced) the Civil Rights Movement back home.

You might be great at concept theory... but not at knowing what all the words you're putting together actually mean.

I can see the pros and cons for both approaches, and personally don't have an issue with either one.

It needs to be made very clear, from the outset, which you intend to use when running your games.

In seriousntess, a lot of the examples above come from a desire from staff to 'be nice' or 'give a chance'. No, fuck that. If you fuck up so drastically that it makes @derp and I agree that you're a fuckwad, you don't get anymore goddamn fucking chances.

@Pandora That's a false equivalence. Black, male, white, gay, disabled people aren't the way they are because they chose to be. And 'veteran' is such a broad category that, yes, a veteran could well be a Nazi, so the category is irrelevant.

I don't care what someone is. I care about what they do. If you're a person that sits around minding their own business, I don't care that you're a racist.
