Who's marking what?
We're marking/grading. It's so dull.

Whenever I read "X is dying" now, I just assume it means "X is changing and I'm not."
Also sometimes phrased as "Millennials are killing the..."
A lot of that is really "this thing has been so stupidly overblown in importance that millennials have chosen to eat and pay rent rather than invest in X."
Whenever I read "X is dying" now, I just assume it means "X is changing and I'm not."
I don't know if it counts as RL, since it's YouTube. But a channel I particularly adore is Jas. Townsend & Son. "A channel dedicated to exploring the 18th Century lifestyle." focusing on the United States' culinary history. It brings me joy.

but I don't think people around temporarily is a problem.
Problems are 10% fact and 90% appearance.
Adulthood is going from back pain to hip pain to knee pain to neck pain to back pain to hip pain...until you die.
Ugh.
@Jynxbox Sheesh, that's just... super duper lame.

Unfortunately this is not a new game. Its got the same old dinosaur characters (whose play styles are not improved over the last 5 years) with all their bloat equipment so far ahead of everyone else that it is unplayable for the few people on the game who are making new characters.
Is this... I wanna say Vaapad's game that booted him off?

There's a lot I'm leaving out, here, but sometimes I hear certain sounds and I wonder wtf was that.
Just casually bring up safewords around her in conversation and see how she reacts

@dvoraen Get a camera. You're either making porn or evidence.
@surreality Email everyone, don't handle complaints. Done.

I would probably report that harassment to his boss, but I'm a no-nonsense kind of person.
I would almost be willing to call the police about this, no matter what my principles about the police are. Let's not forget Belly Mujinga, who got spat and coughed on by someone claiming to have COVID-19 and died of it a week ago.
Yeah... such an action does seem to fit the definition of assault.
If I had a dollar for every time someone on a MU told me to calm down, when all I'm doing is actively disagreeing with them, I'd be a very rich man.
Any attempt to use MUing for anything more than playing the game(s) is dangerous. It's not like a traditional tabletop game, where you're with the same crew for an extended period that you know (or come to know) and trust. Can bonds form and trust develop? Absolutely. But that's not what they're for, and that's not what other people are necessarily looking for.
There are eleventy hundred unwritten rules seemingly designed solely to trip up "interlopers", since this hobby was founded by outcasts for outcasts in the mists of time immemorial. There are going to be times of error and mistake, this is not a personal affront. If people don't like you, for whatever reason, that is not necessarily anybody's fault and pleading to try and understand why they don't like you is an exercise in futility much of the time.

It no longer feels like I might secretly be a terminator in a fatsuit
Well there's a phrase I need to drop into my lexicon.
The main thing for all of us whackos to remember is that even if we're suffering through a particularly strong episode, or whatever is going on with us, we are still responsible for our actions. Occasionally we will think, say, or do things that are obviously in violation of some social contract somewhere that doesn't need to be explained. That happens. That's life. We just have to deal with it.
The second most important thing everyone needs to remember is that being on a game is not a fundamental right. Neither is being given an explanation when we are escorted out. It might be nice to get an explanation, but it's not our right. Dealing with the emotional fallout of such a thing is our responsibility nobody else's.
