I know I was one of those people in the log. I am sorry I sided with him before knowing the full story. I think I was the one who said that I wouldn't avoid anyone where RP goes, but, in hindsight, that was awful of me if that was me and I apologize profusely for that. You were fully in your right to ask that RP be avoided because of how discomforted he made you feel and I should have held my textual tongue.
I really love it when people who are famous (or at least are more well-known than the average person if not exactly 'famous' by the textbook standards) are down to earth and notice their fans. That happened to me not once but twice today when two of the Overwatch VO actresses liked a response I made to another OW voice actor's tweet he made. It's a little thing, sure, but it made me feel good.
So if Chet is guilty of trolling, and is suggesting things that involve racism and other forms of bigotry on top of it, perhaps it's time he's shown the door?
I have said numerous times that I will only have one alt but it never works for me. I get too many ideas, plus I get bored with just one alt. I need the variety in RP, I suppose is why. I do, however, try to limit myself to a number of alts, two or three at the max, depending on what the policy is on a particular game is, my current level of motivation and/or creative brain power, etc.
I have seen people who have a lot of alts and I can't help but to think of one specific person who seems bad about it. This was a person who had 15 alts at one point on a game I am on. They seemed to drop alts (when relationships failed or whatever, I'm guessing) only to make more and more and... well, you see what I am getting at. Now I try not to be too judgemental, especially considering I've made characters only to then drop the alt(s) fairly quickly for whatever reason, but holy fuck. I can't even begin to understand why they'd think 15 alts was a good idea.

Tonight's D&D session presented me with a chance to have my character - halfling barbarian - to do something stupidly-heroic. Our rogue fell into a gelatinous cube after the plank she was crossing collapsed under her weight. My halfling, who made it across due to being a small being, took the 30' leap off of the ledge and into the gelatinous cube, attacking it on the way into it. And the thing that made it even more awesome was the fact that it was the only course of logical action to take as the way down might've taken too long, she might've encountered more monsters, ect.
Our DM, the players of the other party members and the friend who was watching to see what combat was like were all like 'Are you really sure that's a good idea?', to which I pointed out the logic behind her action. Our DM was super quiet before he said 'Allllright.', like he couldn't believe that I'd do it.
In the end, the two who were still above it slung ranged spells and stuff at it while the rogue and my gal got out of it and went and attacked it from the ground. It worked out in the end and we all got a good laugh over how the 38" halfling rage monster literally threw herself into the monster, all to help someone out.

You say you need to change but I really don't see any sign that you are trying. Knowing what I do, having seen it second-hand as well as experiencing it myself, every damn thing you've said comes across as yet another attempt to manipulate people, all in the candy-coated guise of an apology to those you've wronged.
Speaking for myself, since that's the only person I can speak for, I find you to be repugnant and it makes me feel sick to know you're back (assuming you ever even left to begin with), doing the same horrible thing to good people who do not deserve your shit. You run away instead of accepting responsibility for your actions, as has been proven on The Reach and BSO, adding another level of bullshit to an already pretty fucking large bullshit sandwich.

I voted the 80s. Not because of anything to do with the era of comics, but rather because I'm a child of the 70s and 80s, and the 80s is what I hold near and dear to my heart.
While somewhat amused by this thread, I find myself feeling like I need an adult or something. 
And this is why police in more than a small handful of cities have requested that streamers come and 'register' with them, letting them know that they do stream and might someday be targeted by someone who might try to instigate a swatting. It turns a potentially scary and/or deadly situation into one where the police know about you and instead of sending SWAT out they'll send a patrol car instead and they'll come and check things out.

Okay. Let me put this out there. I have no problem with the fact that they allow male characters of whatever sexual preference only. That's not what I am getting at. I just feel like they're claiming to be welcoming to the LGBT people while only offering a very limited option of what's able to be played by the people they seem to be inviting. Are there lesbian, bi or transgendered women who'd want to play gay males... heck, let's add heterosexual females to this mix, too...? Maybe, yes. But there probably would be just as many, maybe even more, who'd want to play lesbian/bi/trans-female characters who are not going to be pigeon-holed into minor roles.
But, again in hindsight, since I am not part of the community maybe I don't have any right to say anything, I dunno. 
Every time I read about Oppy I cry. I don't even know why. It isn't like I even knew about it until we lost the rover but there's something about its loss that hurts me in some deep, profound way.
A super generous friend got me a Switch, which arrived today, and another friend is looking into getting a family plan for Nintendo Online so we can play games with her sister and her sister's friend. To say I am utterly gobsmacked by their generosity is an understatement.
People like these two friends are why I can remember that for ever shitlord we have to deal with there are at least ten super nice, wonderful people to make up for their shitlordery.
I personally am not sure how well received this would be. The war in Vietnam was fucking horrific and I, for one, probably wouldn't play on a game with this as its theme, even if only for inspiration. If you want to do a space-themed game then by all means, please do. But just skip the Vietnam history.
Really, this is a small peeve compared to many that have been posted, but need to get this off of my chest.
I love playing multiplayer games. WoW, Overwatch... games like that are my jam.
What isn't my jam is playing games like those during the summer when all the little edgelord assholes are home for break and want to be toxic pieces of shit. Ugh.
I have to concur with @tangent. I love it when I RP with someone for the first time and we just click. It sadly doesn't happen to me often but when it does it makes my day.
