I am all for reporting people for shit behavior. I totally am. But there are ways to deal with it on the player's end that can, and in my opinion, should be done first. Outside of extreme cases, reporting a person to staff should only be done as a last resort, in my opinion. So-in-so is doing something you consider harassment? Block them via client after telling them to leave you alone and that you'll be blocking them, logging you doing so. If they circumvent it or find other ways to bother you... then report them. Provide the log of you asking them to leave you alone and notifying you'll be blocking them along with the other evidence.

ETA: Staff usually has enough on their plates as it is. FFS, please stop adding to their work load. Do what you can on your end first before involving them.

My origin as a nerd started as a five-six year old in the 70s. I watched the first Star Wars movie, Star Trek The Motion Picture, played video games in the arcade my mom would take me to, and even would play some of the first computer games on my dad's boss' computer when I'd go to work with him on a late night.

I hate how something like Sudafed, which 'may cause drowsiness', knocks me on my ass for an entire day, yet something like Nyquil, which is supposed to make one tired, doesn't do shit to me.

There's nothing wrong with venting one's frustration over a situation, which it sounds like what Shelbeast is doing. Better to do it here and get it off one's chest than blow up on the game after things come to a head.

I used to be known as OneSnarkyLady on WORA and then decided to go by a different name since I just kinda wanted a fresh start. I am not sure if I was watching a lot of The Simpsons at the time or if Apu's name was just one that somehow stood out but I decided to use that for my new account name, it being what I used here when the old site went tits up.

Personally, I have no problem with reusing concepts/characters, nor do I have issues with people who do that. As @Pondscum pointed out, sometimes you still have stories you'd to continue and a game is closing or somehow doesn't work out. I'm planning on trying to do that with an old TR alt of mine, my changeling Whisper, once Miami opens, although she won't be 100% like she was on since I don't have a @decomp for her.

The exclusion of female characters in pretty much all capacity is what turns me off on this game. Not that I fit the demographic this game is geared for, being a straight female, and wouldn't play there as a result, but still. If you're going to claim to be inclusive then be inclusive. If you're not willing to welcome everyone regardless of sex/gender then don't claim to be so.

I find it amusing that those who do not like the concept of the game or how things are being done keep on reiterating the reason they won't play on the mu*. Just say that it is not for you, giving an explanation if you want, wish staff and the players luck if you're so inclined to do so, and drop the subject. It (usually) only takes one time for someone to get the idea.

I just put in a request to drop the alts I had here. As much as I was hoping to stay and enjoy myself, I just couldn't bring myself to be okay with how things have transpired with Peter and all that. So yup. Color me gone.

Case in point, I finally broke down and gave myself a buzz cut just to get rid of all the dry/damaged/oily hair and start over with a healthy head of (hopefully curly!) hair. Most of my friends have been pretty supportive but several people act like I've tried to kill God or something. Sheesh. Hair grows back and this is the only time I plan on doing this, people. Get the eff over it! >.<
