Or that their brights are on.

But from what we understand, right now, of the biochemical processes, it's the food supply itself that is causing it, not consumption or activity, combined with just genetic predisposition toward large or small bodies.
The food supply, yes. But it's not really the food supply per se, it's the available food supply. And by that, I mean that lettuce is more expensive than mac and cheese. The lettuce with actual nutrients in it, that is. Not the iceberg shit. Broccoli? More expensive than chicken or pork. Eating healthy is damned expensive.
So yes, the food supply but the underlying problem is income inequality. It's just more affordable to eat crap that will pack on the pounds.
I Don't Want To Cook For The Rest of the Week
10 chicken thighs
3-4 chicken bouillon cubes
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
Add 1 box (16 oz) of your pasta/noodles of choice
Pour in 1-2 cans of canned vegetables such as peas and carrots and mix well.
Serves many over multiple days.
Variation: replace soup with your favorite BBQ sauce. Replace veggies with beans.
ETA: Forgot to mention, you'll need to add some water when you add in the pasta as it absorbs all the liquid as it cooks and you don't want it too dry. I generally add enough to just cover everything and maybe a little more after an hour or so when I check it and give it a stir.

It has St John's Wort,...
Keep in mind that St. John's Wort is, basically, a drug. And like all drugs can interact in bad ways with other drugs. You'll want to investigate how it affects any medication you're already taking especially if you're already on an antidepressant.
I could never foster. I'd get too attached and not want to give them up. Don't know how you do it.
@solstice Avoid cinnamon. It's proven to raise your liver functions. I'm sure you can google what other foods do the same. It's almost certainly not the cause but it could be making things worse.
The best use for geometry ever. It's proven; larger pizzas are a better value.
@silverfox Medicaid is administered by the states. Medicare is not. Both Medicare and Medicaid policies can be obtained from different private insurance companies such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, etc. For Medicare, that's called 'Part C' and comprises both parts A and B (hospital and medical respectively). Medicaid doesn't have parts.
I'm a medical biller and file claims to and get paid by all of the above and commercial policies all day long so do know what I'm talking about.

The word "binging." Two syllables spelled almost identically, yet the I and the G are both pronounced differently, and there's no way to infer that without just knowing.
I mean, technically, they first G could be either, depending on if the base word is binge or Bing, the search engine. It'll never be as popular as Google but someone's gonna try to make that a word eventually so we might as well accept that both pronunciations are correct and have different meanings.
Lets not forget onomatopoeia. BING The bell is binging.
@Apu I rather like them. When I go shopping, I always look at the nutritional information. Knowing I could eat the entire box/bag, I check out the calories per serving then the servings per container. Knowing that this little box has 1500 calories, I don't buy it.
The Expanse.
It's still a bit early to tell but so far I'm rather enjoying it. It feels very old school science fiction, hearkening back to the days of Asimov and Heinlein. The solar system has been colonized. There's a rebellious Mars who feels it's time to be independent from Earth who wants to retain control at all cost.
There are Belters, living out on Ceres in the asteroid belt. There's water rationing and a generation whose physiology is adapted to low/no G with long limbs and brittle bones. There are miners who mine the asteroids for ice in spaceships that obey the laws of physics.
Not sure I care about the plot yet but the setting is awesome.
