RE: The 100: The Mush
If anyone is looking to app one of the Delinquents, keep in mind that there's a very good chances you knew many/most people before the Landing. Possibly for weeks, possibly for years depending on how long you were imprisoned. Coming up with histories with other people is a very good way to get involved.

@Rinel Yup, it was. I used to play the concept album on my radio show in college.
This was the best show I have ever seen. I'm in love with this musical and want to see it again. And again and...

The thing that bothers me about the ire here is that there's some misplaced assumption that Staffers are not allowed to participate in the games they run.
Oh, this is an OLD argument and not at all limited to The 100. Some games had a rule that no staffer was allowed to have a PC on the game. Some games (WoD) have the rule the staffer isn't allowed to have a PC in the sphere they staff. Some have neither rule. So yeah, old argument and one that has never been answered. It's all a matter of preference and how much someone trusts staff.

RE: RL Anger
You see this in supermarkets too. The person who parks his cart directly parallel to someone else's cart so no one else can pass by. Or if not a second cart then an aisle display. Couldn't just leave their cart a few feet ahead or behind so someone can zig zag through, oh nooooooo... Dipshits.

He has been in all, or nearly all, of the major event scenes (these same scenes almost always containing the same four or five PCs)...
Completely accurate. I'm really enjoying this game and playing it constantly, to the exclusion of other games I have PCs on. This must be what Fallout 4 felt like. I'll assume the others feel similarly.
...and when he isn't cozied up with Cameron (another player who doesn't see the problem) is usually playing only with those other PCs.
Completely inaccurate. First, keep in mind not every log gets posted. But even so, look at the tags on those logs. Yes, Cameron certainly is in a large majority of them given their IC relationship but if you throw out the major events where everyone is there and just consider the smaller ones, the cast is fairly diverse. I'm happy to play with anyone.
edited to add: Despite this, whether my observations are true or accurate or not, it's a game I'm still trying to get traction on. I have issues with some things that are going on, obviously, but I also don't want to be solely on the dogpile side of things.
Grab me for a scene. I'm happy to RP and/or work out backstory.

Such as not liking the theme? Or not liking Faraday's code? Or having the attention span of a gnat? Nah, must be the game.
That's fine. I was just curious as much of the recent conversation has been problems players have had, and you didn't even make it to the point of being a player.
You've got the wrong person.

RE: Best/Worst: Poetry Edition
I'm not a big poetry fan so not sure I have any favorite poems. That being said, here's a few I know and like...
Rudyard Kipling's Tommy
Samuel Taylor Coleridge's Kubla Khan
Felicia Hemans' CasabiancaI like the story of Kubla Khan that Coleridge woke up with the poem complete in his head after a dream he had but while he was writing it all down, someone came to the door and interrupted him and he could never recreate the rest of it.
And Casabianca is about a real person, the son of a warship commander during the Battle of the Nile.
As for Tommy... Well, because Kipling.

Sucks that they have some pretty harsh opinions towards the people who quit, whatever their reason.
The one who holds up the mirror is the one who gets blamed for what they see.

I don't get so emotionally invested. I don't rage-quit. @Sunny's got every right to, and her reasoning is made more sound from @Skaldia's reaction here.
Actually, from what was said, she didn't rage-quit either. She said she'd be taking a week's break then got back to find her character frozen.

Not really going to wade into the topic wholesale but did want to point something out...
@Derp, you're smart. You are, in fact, very smart. You are also educated. Not everyone is one or both of those things and that makes a huge difference.

RE: Car 54, where are you? (Wildcard Want Ads)
@Cobaltasaurus Oh, I know. Jakob just changed at least one of his so I know it's an option. Eventually, I'll rewrite probably all of his aspects once i get a better handle on him. And maybe his approaches. The stunts still work. I think. Mostly. Anyway, once he tells me what he wants, I'll get it fixed.

Dragonsfire was my first! November, '98. I played a Harper because of course.
No idea when it was. I played a healer apprentice who eventually made journeyman. I'm pretty sure his name was Berin. Don't ask me why I remember that because I have no idea.
