Generally speaking, swapping ads is fine. It has to be reciprocal.
@hedgehog Don't tell us. Tell the principal. Or both but definitely the latter.
@Auspice Why do you need to see that one? Find out all that are on your insurance plan that are nearby and call them one by one.
I'll just add my +1 and agree, in the most constructively critical way possible, that the documentation SUCKS. It's not just that the help files are often near useless and need to be read a few times to interpret them but actually finding the commands is horrible. Example.
help guards, help +guards and help @guards are ALL the same exact help file. Which is fine. It's more than fine, it's great. Different people will try different commands to find something. BUT.
help home is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from help +home. How the HELL am I supposed to know that? Why would I ever check help +home after I've already read help home since I already knew that all 3 variations of help guard were exactly the same?

Well, I'm sure the AP system was designed (at least in part) to address the multitasking thing, for sure. In a strange way though it will, at least in some ways, actually impact the have-nots more; for instance if it costs me a ton of AP I am least inclined to share my @clues with newbie #2871 that I just met.
Just recently made this same exact point. AP are limited and have multiple uses to that benefit the player: investigations being a prime example which was also just made harder to do successfully. Sharing a clue gives the player no benefit at all and actively penalizes them by using AP which they need for other things.
And I hate—hate—that there's nothing really I can do about it. I can try to be there for my mother, but nothing I can do that will likely have a measurable impact on her ability to pull through this.
Completely wrong. That is exactly what you can do for her and it WILL have a measurable impact. Doctors only lay out a course of treatment. It's her family that provide the support she needs. Don't underestimate the benefit of your care.
Just as an FYI, staff has permanently closed all Downworlders as player characters. Only Shadowhunters and mundanes are now appable.
I understand how this is easier on staff but honestly, it makes the game a lot less interesting and attractive now.
@Ghost Heroes Dreams?
On topic... not sure, really. Marvel: 1963 allows villains as PCs. We also have a stable of them that players can check out for plots, some of which can be taken over to become a PC.
Tell me that force apps aren't already closed.
Yes, it's not an SW game but you could certainly import a character from there.
@Auspice They come in different thicknesses. Since it's for a medical reason, I'd definitely say don't skimp on the cost and get a thin one. You'll definitely notice a difference sleeping.
@Auspice Get a memory foam mattress topper. I'm a side sleeper and often have the same problem. The topper makes a HUGE difference.
@Admiral Find a good massage therapist but be certain to explain the problem. They should be able to feel if it's torn or not, depending on where it is. If it's just a pull, they'll help.

AeroPress
I don't know. I watched the video on their site and think I'll stick with my French Press. First, the Aeropress is small and won't make as much coffee in one shot. Two, it uses a filter so not only does it have a regular expense even after you buy one but filters absorb the oils that make using a French Press the best thing since Betty White. I don't get any grounds at all in my French Press and cleaning it is even simpler than what they showed.
The only plus I see is it being plastic and there are French Presses that come in plastic (though I have one that's glass).
@surreality Yeah, stuffed peppers. It was a relatively common dish growing up.
I don't put vegetables in mine. I do though add some Worcestershire for flavor.
Someone I asked yesterday said she puts some bread at the bottom to absorb grease if the meat used is less lean.
