80s LA has its good points and bad. Some points some people see as good, others would see as bad, and vice versa. There are a number of MUers who actually.. gasp.. remember the 80s. For those that don't, it'd be a challenge. It was a unique era. There'd also be an enormous step down in available technology, which let's face it, a lot of people would gripe about. "What do you mean, no smartphones with more processing power than a full-on 1980s computer?!" Staff would wind up having to police that sh*t. And nobody's gonna want to do that. Seriously. So many better things to do with one's time than slap iPhone 6s out of some powergamer's hand every other day.
Personally, I'm still yearning for a New Orleans setting. Or Seattle. Of the choices given? I'd vote London.
Have you not met me? I love telling people what not to do!

Is there any particular reason for the departure away from Beast and it's inclusion to your game? If so, what was it?
The primary reason is no one I want on my team has even read it, and to quote an anonymous player, "The people that really like Beast make me not want to check out Beast".
I don't have any strong opinion on it beyond "not for me" but the lack of specialists made it die off. Honestly, if I didn't have such a mental hard-on for Promethean, it would likely be in the same boat.

RE: RL things I love
Lame thing but listening to a lot of classic rock. Cream, Stones, Hendrix. So good.

And we have a metaplot.

RE: Sin City Chronicles
Brief update:
I wanted to share how we are designing each of our spheres at the moment. For each gameline, we are working to answer the following questions:
Faction representing them on the Vegas Compact - Their setting-level social group
Primary Theme - What we want that gameline to express and experience
Primary Antagonist - The major antagonistic group for that game.
Secondary Antagonist - A less prevalent but still present and long term antagonist
Local Twist - How that game works slightly different in the Mojave
Gameline Aspiration - A general "Goal" for that game to work towards
Game Over - A situation that, if it results, will render that gameline having a Very Bad Time
Proposed Population Limit - How many PCs will be allowed
Proposed House Rules - Possible Rules issues to be addressed
Unique XP - What sort of game-specific XP will they use
Unique Aspiration - What sort of game-specific aspiration will be available? To my knowledge, the only one of these completed is Promethean, because I just finished it. I can share if anyone wants, aside from some things which are to be REDACTED.

I have decided to start living my life like The Rock, always pimping my next project.

Tl;dr - We want to have a world which supports crossover and reduces drama while maintaining a moderate metaplot

CofD/WoD Mu Installer?
Hey, I have a question for the coders. Would it be possible to take a fresh MU setup, with the dice roller and the CG and the XP system, all that stuff. Would it be possible to turn that into something resembling an install file, or maybe an image that can be coped over to a new game with ease?
Because if it can, that may be the best thing of the day.

I once shot a man on Reno just to watch him die. How's that for fucking street cred?

RE: Interest/Volunteer Check: Major Multisphere Chronicles of Darkness
Rather than attempt to model the incredibly complex reality of Law Enforcement jurisdiction while still allowing players to take the role of a police officer, for the purpose of Angeles, there is a collaborative Metro Task Force, an organization created for the purpose of policing the entire LA Metro area.
As for police as antagonists, I find that a bit frustrating myself, but I don't have the brainpower for it right now.

How about we fix the reason for police PCs so they aren't always creating antagonists of other PCs? While it's good to makes sure that characters always have some level of checks and balances, I never got the impression that police PCs vs. other PCs was very fun.
The way most staff in Mu*'s use police in WoD / CofD like it is RL is fucking lame...
Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.
I will still smack down a character who is obliviously stupid without feeling guilty.
