Exalted 3rd Edition Chatter
So this dropped last week, and I am still plowing through it. Anyone else begun reading it yet? I am going to need to play the system to really understand it, but off hand, here are the biggest changes I have yet noticed:
- Martial Arts styles get stronger or weaker by your Exalt type, but are open to all
- Artifacts are a lot more unique and specialized, which adds flavor but cuts on ease
- Combat is all sorts of different, with two different damage tracks
- 2 New classes of Exalt mentioned in the core rules - Liminal, which are like Frankenstein monster patchwork exalts and seem to be a terrestrial analogue to Abyssals, and Exigent, which are random ass one-off Exalts of minor gods. Neither gets a full write up in the main book, however
- Sorcery - It is greatly expanded on and it seems counterspelling is now inate not a separate spell

RE: The Descent MUX
I need to do a bit more reading on the setting and come up with a concept. If anyone wants to be a Raider of the husk of new York, let me know.

So you fools were right, The 100 is great.
Those kids. Those kids are hardcore. The only people they treat worse than each other are their enemies, holy shit.
Part of me wants to be all "I told you so" and part wants to choose a random CW show and try and get people to watch it.

Mage: The Awakening Second Edition will be released next Wednesday, the 4th May

RE: RenoMUSH - The Biggest Little Game on the Net
Ok, some news!
At present, we are currently respecing existing Wolfblood characters to WtF 2nd Edition rules. New WB apps and WB 'becomings' should begin later this week. Uratha will likely be next week if everything goes perfectly.
On the other side of the game, we are rolling out our Redesigned Bloodline Mechanics for the Vampire sphere starting today.

RE: The State of the Chronicles of Darkness
Well, it pains me to say it, but tomororw, The Pack releases on DTRPG. This will make it so that Werewolf: the Forsaken 2nd Edition gets a supplement before Vampire the Requiem 2nd Edition.
What the shit world.

ISO Collaborators for Shadowrun
Presuming that I can get the code from a soirce, I am looking to leave the CofD behind me for a while and work on a Shadowrun 5 game. However, my usual suspects don't really know SR and so I am looking for some people interested in possibly helping out.

RE: More Fitness
Man, comparing my exercise numbers from just 3 weeks ago to today and I can see a visible, numerical improvement in the stats. Even after taking an entire week off due to plague.

RE: What's That Game's About?
I have found that the description of Vampire: the Requiem in the 2nd Ed book is a pretty good sales pitch for the game itself, shockingly:
Vampire is a game of visceral drama and personal horror. Vampire is about sex and murder, about power and wild defiance. It’s about urban squalor and the romance of the city. It’s about what’s wrong with you — yes, you — and how that shapes the monster you’ll become. Vampire is also about thrilling action and nail-biting paranoia. It’s about dying young and being a great-looking corpse. It’s about acting out in all of the ways we imagine we would, if only we couldn’t see ourselves in the mirror. Vampire is a game about dead people and it should make you feel alive. (Vampire the Requiem - Blood and Smoke: The Strix Chronicles page 6) -

RE: Core Memories Instead of BG?
I am late to this thread and just wanted to say, before I read it, that by default, the Chronicles of Darkness core rules have a section for "5 important questions" that are designed to flesh out a character and create their customized breaking points.
In tabletop, at the very least, it works wonderfully.

RE: ISO Collaborators for Shadowrun
Development continues. Work has begun on the wiki. Grid design will begin in earnest this week I hope.
Current project: Create guidelines for joining IC organizations for non-Shadowrunner PCs.

Got in a big fight with my mother last night and now I can't focus because I don't know it is resolved.
Man, I feel you. I hate it when that happens to me.
Situation resolved.

RE: Core Memories Instead of BG?
Why would I read the thread? Has anything posted in the history of MSB ever been worth reading?

RE: Eldritch - A World of Darkness MUX
In nWoD terms, template applies to your supernatural type - there is a Demon Template, a Werewolf Template, a Vampire Template, etc.
So no, humans/ghouls/wolfblooded/stigmatics etc are not, by game terms, a template.
However, I can confirm @Coin's face is.

RE: RL Anger
You know how when you were a kid and you would misbehave in public, like maybe you are running around in a store and some guy has to abruptly come to a stop with his cart full of groceries? And then the mother says ""Child be careful and apologize to the nice man".
WHEN DID I BECOME THE NICE MAN IN THIS STORY?
