So this sounds semi like something I was talking about recently with folks.

The idea might be to seed random 'scenes sets' into the grid itself.

Then idea came about descing an abandoned hotel. We have +rent code and the like already so it shouldnt be too hard to implement. You could set up a building/area/whatever and do your +rent or +explore or something and it makes you a temproom/brings you to a room. What that new room will have is a description of the area, and a small randomized lists of possible encounters to spark the imagination.

It is not something as complex as a full PRP, but a way to give certain areas some more flavor, to help lubricate imaginations, give some minor threats to urban exploration, find haunted areas, generally little things seeded in specific places to encourage RP and lighten the load for spontanius creativity.

People are scared of looking like they're too eager or greedy for the spotlight.

That is me.

So I am generally of the camp that makes wtf ever i want and then make it work. However I also like to play characters over a long period of time, so even if someone is occupying my niche now, good chances say they wont be in a few months.

And even if they are playing a character similar to mine, just make it your own and play it better. So what if there are 3 hookah lounge ogre blacksmiths... compete with each other, advertize ridiculous sales, Team Up. I find the best success comes from really finding something you are interested in playing, rather than looking for whatever others want/need, because people will often react more to seeing someone playing something they are passionate about, and see that reflect in the interest they put into their RP and character, rather than someone going 'yeah we need a badminton instructor, no one is playing one.

Dear Brain, Yes I know that the drink /was/ cold when you put it down on your desk. It was frosty and glistening with condensation, I know, i was there. But that was YESTERDAY. Anyone else know that the world doesn't stop, and yet you think the moment you take your eyes off of something or someone its as if it/they in some state of suspended animation? Like, 'Hi I havent talked to you in 14 years, what? you've changed? That's strange!' I can pick up conversations from people in text from 2 years ago.

So 'everyone playing the same game' is something I have shouted about for years, so when i say it, these are my goals, generally. Note: I play almost exclusively WoD.

• If 3 different people ask 3 different staffers the same question, the answer should generally be the same.
• You cant have one sphere being super draconic in rules and whatever, and another be totally lazy-fair. Coherence.
• You are not playing in a bubble, even if you don't interact much with the rest of the game, your actions happen in the same reality as everyone else. The same story/timeline/etc applies.
