So WTF, did people just stop watching the series this season?
I haven't watched the series at all (nor read the books) if that helps.

So even after the Rasheem meltdown in which not having off-site backups was a problem, no off-site backups of the site were kept? Lovely. That's what we call "learning from the past".
Jane Siberry. Tea. Finding out by surprise that I get a four week paid vacation out of nowhere. Watching silkworms become balls of silk. Having a business I invested in/cofounded start to take off. Melting the minds of my students with some of my weirder musical tastes.
F for effort. F for effect. Repeating the same thing endlessly does not improve reactions. Try varying your approach a little.
D- for effort. F for effect. Try harder.
Yeah, that box shows up for me too, but on multi-page threads it takes me to the bottom of the first page, not to the last point I read if the last point I read was past the first page.
We'll talk when you've learned your art. Right now you're just an embarrassment to the good name of trolls everywhere.
Please, for the love of God, LEARN YOUR TRADE.
Please don't be like a programmer. Stop revelling in ignorance and sloth. Perfect your craft. Make your mama proud!
So, I come here and the button for "unread messages" lights up with a number. Click on it and that number of threads is listed. And sure enough, they all have recent activity. So far so good.
But…
How do I actually go to last point I read? If I click on the thread name it takes me to the first message on the first page of the thread. Sometimes (but not always) it provides me with something to click to take me to the last thing I read ... but that never goes past the first page. Since some of the things here are on page 9 or higher, this is not helpful. If I click on the <icon> replied <time> ago thing, that takes me to the last message posted, passing over stuff I haven't yet read.
How do I get that middle ground between first message on first page and last message posted? You know: the useful one.
Yeah, an ignore feature would be really nice. Just don't do that braindead stunt the last forum did of bolstering Bane-like ego by having people told how many others are ignoring them.
Seriously, if you're going to troll at least develop the skills. The desire to troll is scummy enough. The inability to learn even the most basic of techniques, however, means you're even lower: you're an incompetent troll. (This is especially tragic when trolling is such a simple skill.)
Because "the Chinese trail of racism" is such an exonerating statement. And you wonder why anybody sane thinks you're just a troll.

… I had no idea there was any specific hostility against black people in China (outside of the general racism towards anyone who isn't Chinese) and wondered if maybe you just chose a bad link to support your point.
Blacks are lower on the ethnic totem pole than whites in the Chinese trail of racism. The lowest currently are the Japanese, then the blacks, then whites, then Koreans. (I'm not sure where the Cambodians and Vietnamese lie on this spectrum.) Bizarrely, however, Indians are increasingly being placed on a pedestal. There's some very interesting stuff happening with the co-opting of Indian culture here.
That being said, Blacks used to be the lowest of the low in foreigner terms here. Now they're barely below whites. Ten years ago it was almost impossible for a black English teacher to get a job in any private school, for example; only the state-run schools would even look at them. Nowadays a white guy with tatoos would be rejected over a black candidate. In the early 2000s there were riots in Nanjing over black guys dating Chinese girls. Now it's almost, but not quite, chic to be seen going out with black guys.
So the Chinese are currently slightly more racist to blacks than they are to whites. But … American blacks I know here stay in China (many of them for longer than I've been here, which is scary) because they're treated with more respect here than in the USA.

I t sounds like the Chinese government is displaying hostility towards every type of people.
And @spasticgoat gets it in one. @Cirno making it a "black thing" is being so disingenuous it verges on … wait for it! … black comedy.

If it's rare for Gwailo Round-eye Foreign-Devils to be executed in the Middle Kingdom, then it ought to be all the more questionable that they brought the full apparatus of capital punishment against that black woman, would it not?
Get yourself a dictionary. Look up the word "rare" and compare it to the word "never". See if you can figure out why I used the word "rare" instead of "never". (Hint: because I meant "rare" and not "never".)
Quibbling over semantics?
And you call me a troll? Fascinating.
I call you a troll because you're trolling for reactions. For example by twisting everything to suit a narrative you know is going to cause a reaction: things like how it's racist that one black woman got executed (whilst ignoring the thousands and thousands of non-black people executed, including non-blacks from the Philippines, from India, from Nepal, from the various *stan republics surrounding it, from Great Britain, etc.), or twisting "rare" to "never" so it again suits your narrative.
I call you a troll, in short, because you're a troll. It's pretty simple.

In general, I disagree with the Chinese method of capital punishment, which is why you'd have to clout me over the head and put me in a sack to get me to cross the Chinese border, and, also, why I disagree vehemently with @WTFE when they say how everything is hunky-dory and lots of fun in the Middle Kingdom.
More trolling, I see. (Hint: I have never said everything is hunky-dory in the Middle Kingdom.)

The Chinese government displayed their fangs by ruthlessly executing a black female.
Yeah, citing an article that indicates 'thousands of people are executed for drug trafficking every year - more than the rest of the world combined' as if it showcases any kind of racism because one of those thousands had black skin, is just making you look more and more like the troll no matter how much you try to use italics to insinuate that it's all in our heads.
If you want to go by Chinese executions, the Chinese are the most strongly racist people in the world—against the Chinese. It's actually pretty astonishingly rare for 老外 of any skin colour to get executed in China.
