honestly, not so much anger as sad. going in to the first holiday season since my parents moved across the country, so i'm gonna be spending all of it alone. which isn't so great or fun, and super sad. i am a grown adult so i shouldn't be so sad but. eh.

I mean my family sucks, but I still sort of mope every Thanksgiving because it's cemented in my memory from childhood as that holiday where we'd all gather at my mom's or dad's side and eat tons of food and cousins and-
like, even when everything else sucked it was the one time of year where I was full of food and everything was cool, so sure! grown-ass adult, but them's was good times. So I get it. It's okay to be sad during the holidays. There's a reason that call centers get a spike in calls from people just wanting to chat during the holidays.
@Meg You should try a Misfit's/Orphan's Thanksgiving.
We try to do one once a year where the day after Thanksgiving we get together with our friends for something like a THANKSGIVING 2, but mostly for people who either dont have family in town or dont like them.
Take the hole. Fill it with warm.
Delete the Hog Pit. It'll be fun.

@Meg I've been where you are, and it sucks no matter how old you are, if you're used to that family togetherness. This will be my first holiday season without my dad, and some of my friends and I are joking about making bets about whether or not I'll be invited to anything by my stepmother.
Because my family (what's left of it besides my brother who I never see) is kinda horrible.
