I need sides that I can fit within the window meat is getting cooked

Chicken breast + bagged stir fry. Cook the chicken just long enough to get a good sear on each side, and then dump in a bag of frozen stir fry mix. That'll take about seven minutes to cook. Add some sauces or whatever in the last minute. I typically use a squeeze bottle with about two thirds hoisin, and then the rest soy sauce with enough room for a couple of tablespoons of sriracha.

      Dump into bowl. Eat.

@arkandel I'm not ever 'bulking', but I do like using a good brown or wild rice with my chicken breasts. My son is on a jasmine rice kick.

I have been working from home for so long, and wearing makeup so rarely, that apparently my foundation was discontinued without me noticing.

Do you know how hard it is to find foundation for 5Y03 skin that isn't tested on animals?

@too-old-for-this yeah i got a refund at least but it was a bad enough damn day thar I got teary eyed knowing that I wasn't going to have yummy pho broth and instead just the cooking broth heated up and doctored a bit.

I would have rather just used my pho broth recipe but no time. 😞 oh well at least I got some tendon, which i only get when we order out since I'm the only one in the fam that likes it.

@mietze OH MAN THIS ABSENCE OF PHO BROTH IS A TRAGEDY. Delivery screwups are SUCH a bummer, I have totally gotten teary over things like that on a rough day :C

I forgot to eat dinner tonight. Or, well, I just never felt hungry. I am now terrified that I am getting sick, which I absolutely do not have time to do since I have... like, five jury trials calendared before the end of the year.

i wish i felt like eating even something delicious like pho.

I took all the pathetic amount of PTO I had today, I have tomorrow off, and I ordered pad Thai as comfort. I ordered the veggie pad thai, because it's been so good. But this time, there was like.. three tiny bits of broccoli, some chunks of.. something, and none of the baby bok chois I like so much.

@saosmash With the amount of people walking away from fast-food or delivery service jobs because they believe they're worth more than the pay they're given(they are worth more), I'm not surprised that the quality of delivery has gone down in the last couple of months.

Two days we got Taco Bell because, well, it was late and neither of us really wanted to cook. I just wanted something simple. Three soft shell supremes. Did I get my sour cream on my tacos? Of course not. It's not the end of the world, but ffs. I did four years of Taco Bell in my teens, and for as much fucks I never had for that job working there, I at least did it properly.

I dunno, in my anecdotal experience, people don't order delivery when they're in a good mood. They order because they're so done they can't even be fucked to cook food right now, meaning they're already in a bad place.

                              Still FWP, but valid nevertheless.

This isn't really a peeve. I just can't think of a better place to put it.

Watching compilations of reactions to WLW TikTok thirst traps has led YouTube to believe I want to watch compilations of all orientations of TikTok thirst traps. I don't like to shoot something down before I tried it, so I tried it, and what I most feel at this moment isn't distaste or confusion but a sense of being outside; alien; alone.

It's not that the material there isn't sexy to me. I never expected it to be. It's that it's so unsexy to me I sincerely can't tell whom it's meant to be sexy for. Do straight women really like videos of shirtless men flexing their abs while pretending to receive a beejer, or is this what straight men think straight women find sexy? I didn't think I was so far removed from straight people I can't even tell who is the intended audience for their attempts to flirt with one another.

Actually, there's an entire genre of gay porn where shirtless (naked) men flex their abs (anything and everything) while pretending (really) getting a blowjob. Usually they're marketed as being straight (yeah right) who are either curious or broke.

Maybe Youtube thinks you're a gay guy.

@tnp I could buy it being for gay boys more easily than for straight girls, but some of them say in the title of the reaction that they're for straight people.

A lot of this isn't really about what's sexy regardless of one's sexual preferences.

For example many straight guys like the idea of getting really jacked. That is, the Arnold-style muscles, having big biceps, ripped shoulders, all that stuff.

But that's not necessarily what women want. It's what guys want for themselves. Or think they do, until they realize it takes a lot of very hard work to get there, they won't be able to scratch their own backs again, and they won't find regular clothes that fit them - or even fit in most car seats.

I'd argue more that it's what guys are told they want by the media. The same way women are told that they want x, y, and z features in every fashion or women's magazine.

Not that some men don't genuinely want it, but it's definitely more media manipulation than genuine desire for most.

@tinuviel Oh I agree. At a certain point it's hard to tell the difference between what people want and what we're being told we want.

All questions about 'why is <X> showing on TV/YouTube/social media' tend to have the same answer; doing so generates revenue. Folks are watching. They are buying.

It's not about attraction, gender, self-image or sexuality; it's about money.
