Oh, after the post I saw about a Netflix show asking for photographers to work for free, I wouldn't touch anything Netflix has to do with a 10 foot pole. (See my post here)

I put in my tax return last month and the 21 expected days sailed past. No info on the website or app on any expected date for the refund, but no request for contact either -- just a generic "we're still processing your return" message.
After the 30th day, I am quite frustrated and try to call the IRS directly, and they have the phone tree from Actual Hell. It's deliberately difficult to navigate to a living person and contains a bunch of dead ends to pre-recorded messages about being "too busy" to take your call, which is a load of shit considering you can actually talk to someone if you know the arcane secret combination of numbers to push.
I finally get through after a lot of trial and error, and it turns out my return's in error processing -- expected time is now ten weeks from the date I submitted it, with no explanation as to why.
Jesus H Christ, I needed that money this month. And it is so fun to have a lot of frustration and no legitimate place to direct it.

My husband got a new job. His last day of his old job was yesterday and his new job only starts on the 1st.
So, that means today is his first day "off" and he's going on a camping trip with the church for a men's camp thing for the day and night.
He's only leaving at 8 am.
So of course he gets up at 4:30 and blasts music and wakes the dogs up early so they can rampage through the house, turns the bedroom light on so that I may wake up with him... and all around is a terror. Like he's TRYING to wake the baby up too.I mean, what would I do with an extra hour of sleep anyway?
His ride better hurry or they'll be picking up his dead body.

I used to wonder if men know how much they treat women like we're not people, just props and servants in their lives. Eventually, I stopped wondering that and started wondering instead how many of them would, if you told them, just prove the point by centering themselves in the discussion and angrily insisting we reaffirm how great and amazing they are.

@greenflashlight When my work hours got changed and I was getting up at 5am instead of 7am, I started sleeping the second bedroom pointedly so I wouldn't wake up my girlfriend, because I know I wouldn't be all that thrilled if it was the other way around.
This eventually changed when she wanted to change the second bedroom into an office so she had more room to work, which made sense.
I now leave tomorrow clothes in the living room and change out there, so all I realistically have to do turn my alarm off, slide out of bed and go do my wake up stuff elsewhere.
Though ideally, I'd still rather have my own bedroom simply because I think we were both happier with our own spaces.

Apartment hunting is exhausting, and I hate it. I just want a place to live. Would you answer your damned phone, rental office??

Or if they listed what floor shit was on, etc etc.
(I may have spent a chunk of my weekend looking at apartments. ) -
I am also apartment hunting.
Add in a currently existing lease's move-out notice policy of 90 days, and you enter a completely new level of hell.
Ugh.

(I may have spent a chunk of my weekend looking at apartments. )I'm so frustrated because I can't get ahold of the leasing agent that took my application. I've left messages. Every time I call she's not there. And I've even left a message saying I would take one of the more expensive renovated studios over the non renovated one bedrooms.
At this point I've given up and started looking for places on fb. I need an apartment by the 1st of July. Just answer your goddamned phone -_-

I am so exhausted. My job is fun and not stressful at all so I am having to deal with less RL stress other than trying to crack the whip to get two very checked out seniors across the finish line to HS graduation. But I find myself going to bed early/frequently napping after work, its hard for me to get super excited about anything. I do not feel /bad/ but I just do not feel good in my body anymore. Like I need to hibernate or something. I can even be doing something I very much want to do and all of a sudden I need to go lay down and sleep. I think it must be in my head because it does not happen during work hours. I miss people.

The analogy I have been having fun with lately is that we are all running a 10 mile marathon. None of us has gone over 5 miles before. We are at 9 miles. We can see the finish line. That last mile, though, may as well be a hundred right at the moment. But it’s so close, so the temptation to just push through without a rest is...so strong. But you can’t, once you hit that wall. You gotta rest.

@sunny We keep getting told we're at the 9th mile, but I swear I've seen that shrub before. Am I running in a circle? It feels like I'm running in a circle. But we're still at the 9th mile.
