Just want to say that these shows are my shows right now, and they're awesome:

      • Brooklyn Nine-Nine
      • Orville
      • Deadly Class
      • The Magicians
      • True Detective

      Watch this stuff.

On 'recently discovered good TV' front, I just began binging AP Bio this week.

I fucking love Glenn Howerton and Patton Oswalt.

Saying the quiet parts out loud since 1996.

A lot of my favorite shows are now going into "final" seasons.

        • Crazy Ex Girlfriend
        • Jane the Virgin
        • Game of Thrones
        • The Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt
        • Into the Badlands (I'm particularly upset about this one. At least the others had a full run of 4-5 seasons.)

I suspect this may be the final season for The 100, but can't say for sure, yet.

        My body is not ready.

The Magicians has consistently been one of my favorite shows since its inception. I haven't looked at season 3 of True Detective, as season 2 was shit. Or not shit, just a disappointment.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a masterpiece of comedy, right next to The Good Place as my favorite comedy shows.

I think Amazon's Counterpart should get some love.

@lordbelh Season 3 of True Detective is back to the Season 1 feel. To say whether or not 3 ties to 1 in any way would be a spoiler (e.g. to say it does or doesn't would be a spoiler), but I'm loving it.

I describe True Detective like this:

            • Season 1 was like Se7en
            • Season 2 was like Heat with Al Pacino
            • Season 3 is back to poor country (this time Arkansas, not Nebraska) disappearances and thick, soupy drama.

However, Rachel McAdams was amazing in Season 2.

Delete the Hog Pit. It'll be fun.

              Orville, Season 2 Episode 7.

Fuck you, Orville, for making me cry like a baby.

I wasn’t thrilled by the end of Maniac, but it was a phychologically heavy show of the kind I really like.

Can’t wait to start watching Russian Doll.

                  Watched the last two Orvilles.

Much like Mike and Omar taking out the trash, those were some good eps.

Things I've watched on Netflix recently.

Into the Dark - nonsensical shit revolving around a murder by what may or may not of been an incestuous relationship. Avoid.

Polar - Good, but apparently Mads Mikkelsen likes to show off his ass a lot.

The Umbrella Academy - Nothing like the Dark Horse comics at all, but honestly, I think I like this televised version better. It actually makes some amount of sense.

Has anyone else watched The Dragon Prince on Netflix?

It fills the missing part in my life from Avatar (it's done by the same people, y'all) and oh man, this show does diversity right. It just... is. Like, it's just a part of the world. It's not jam-smushed in your face like a lot of network television tries (and often poorly I'm looking at you CW with your 'oh hey this character who has been straight the past X seasons is suddenly awkwardly gay').

I wanna be Amaya when I grow up. She's amazing and I fucking love how she fights with her shield. ❤ Also, poor Galen. Who somehow manages to be ridiculously polite and optimistic despite his circumstance (I love him and his freckle-y face). .... really I could gush about like, 90% of the characters.

But Bait is no Momo gdi.

Umbrella Academy is amazing. My view is likely biased since I never read the comics.

Yeah, I haven't read the comics either but I binge watched the crap out of that series.

And Number Five's actor is really fifteen iRL? That kid has acting chops.

I was so sure Number 5 was just a very, very young-looking adult. Nope.

Which is funny (and impressive) as most shows that feature teenagers use adult actors for them even when the acting requirements are much more relaxed than this plot required.

But yeah, Number 4 was damn good, too. I wasn't too impressed with Elen Page though, I expected her to steal every scene but she was outperformed.

Ricky Harper! This kid grew up on a Nickelodeon show, Ricky, Nicky, Dicky and Dawn. There is a slew of kid actors growing up and not tumbling down like past child stars. Looking at you David Mazouz, the fifth cutest kid in Dear Dumb Diary. I have daughters, I'm familiar with these shows, good to see them continuing their careers like this.

I felt this way too. Some of her scenes were just painful to watch through and her acting was just subpar compared to everyone else.

Also it took me 4 episodes to realize that Sir Reginald was Colm Feore and I had to look it up on IMDB to be sure.
