The Gifted wasn't bad. It has potential... let's see how well they can balance the screentime for all those different muties, though.
-
I actually really like the Gifted. It's my favorite of the new shows this season thus far.
-
@cupcake
I've enjoyed gifted so far. I'm picking out Morlocks in the Mutant Underground's group, but I''m sure there'll be plenty of trimming of the cast to John, Clarice, the Struckers, Marcos and Lorna soon. -
Lol, anyone else picking out a pattern in the supporting cast?
I can't wait for Jeff Donovan and Gabrielle Anwar to show up as Mutant Bounty Hunters or something. XD
-
@coin It is a party of Matt Nix people, true, he's the showrunner so surpriiiiiiise.
Unfortunately (well, fortunately for her, because work is good), Anwar's tied up over on ABC, being the new baddie on Once Upon A Time.

I noticed this pattern in the commercials before the show started airing, I will admit it layed a significant role in my decision to give it a shot.

Mr. Robot has begun and I felt as though I was watching a foreign film with no subtitles. Seemed exceptionally surreal for some reason and while it made sense it was just off angle with me for some reason. Not sure if it's just me or if the previous seasons have me filled with more trepidation waiting for the mid-season turn on the ear.

I've never watched it as it aired. I binged seasons 1 and 2. I think it helped that surreal sensation dissipate quicker.
It sounds like I may be best suite to wait to binge for this season, too.

What do you all think of the recent X-Men TV resurgence?
We've had Legion, The Gifted and soon New Mutants as ongoing shows. Hell, I'd even be inclined to count the Inhumans from uh, Inhumans and the last couple of seasons of Agents of Shield as extremely mutant-esque in theme.
-
@arkandel
New Mutants in ongoing? I thought it was a movie. -
@bobotron Huh. You are right. Alright, scratch that part.
-
@arkandel
I was gonna say, if it is, that's a good in-between GoT gig for Maisie. -
I really need to finish season 1 of Legion. I was watching it with someone, but they kept flaking.
-
@auspice I loved Legion. It's so not condescending at all - sink or swim, you need to keep up with all the weird shit going on or you're left behind.
-
I just binge watched season one of The Good Place. Itβs good. No spoilers!
-
@thenomain
The Good Place is probably my favorite thing on TV right now. Brings me joy every week. -

-
@thenomain Does it get better? I watched... I want to say the first two episodes, maybe 2.5, and I didn't like it that much.
-
Double post!
Marvel's Runaways trailer.

I like the direction they're going. It hasn't gone exactly the way I expected it to go, but that's for the good imo, and Ted Danson is being absolutely delightful.
