@Auspice Nicholas Hoult took an utterly reprehensible historical character and made me like him.
He has a knack for playing assholes that you end up grudgingly liking (have you seen Skins? Because Skins.)

I think it's because like DiCaprio in Django, he knows what he's doing and embraces the fact that he's a fucking actor and not the role, so he can lean into the role and lampoon it. I mean there's pretty much glee in lines as 'I let them portray me as as a donkey fucker!'
Plus, y'know, Nicholas Hoult.
Orlo and Arkady were probably my absolute favorites tho. But there were just... god, so many little bits I loved.
"I really would like to know how you fucked that horse."
"...I made that up. You were there when I did." -
@Auspice Sasha Dewahn is so bishounen it hurts.
Yes, there were shades of what a lovely day! in there.

I absolutely adored every single moment of The Great and could not stop laughing the entire time.
-
I've been wanting to see it - re: Nicholas Hoult, who looks absolutely adorable and hilarious in the trailers.
But I don't have Hulu. Boo.

Stargirl.
Nuff said.

Not quite.
The movie released on Disney Plus (then I concur, I loved that one), or the series on DC universe (which I don't have and is one of the few reasons I'd consider getting dcu)?
Fair.
Haven't seen the movie. I mean the TV show.

@Lotherio Stargirl is being broadcast on CW as well.

They're not explicitly doing a coming out of the closet story, but the story is following a lot of those beats, so it can be rough to deal with if you're sensitive to that kind of thing.
True.
As much as the idea of Kaley Cuoco and Lake Bell having a voice-tryst titillates me, I can see how it could annoy others.
Like we don't know.

I'll jump on the bandwagon, this She Ra is pretty awesome. I'm a Seahawk fan, 'I am I aaaam'.
Also Stargirl premiere was great. Glad it was pointed out it's on CW, cause now I know the other reason I was considering DCU will be on CW as well. Swamp thing, but for Blue Devil.

Apple TV is producing some pretty good stuff.
Defending Jacob is a pretty good murder mystery/family drama.
Mythic Quest is a fun irreverent comedy produced by the same people that do It's Always Sunny.
And Servant was okay. Not my cup of tea but I could see how others might really like it. Rupert Grint was amazing in it.

@ZombieGenesis Servant wigged me out because the weird group mentioned later in the series would be in my RL neck of the woods, which never comes up in anything, ever. There are areas of the state it would have been fairly plausible... but the one they picked? Not so much. Big ol' farmbarns? Kinnnnnnnnnnda thin on the ground hereabouts.
...except it comes up all the time in Supernatural. For some reason, Delaware comes up in Supernatural like, really weirdly a whole fuck of a lot. (Do y'all know how weird it is doing the yearly art show and being like 'this is pretty much the exact street the devil supposedly appeared on earth in that show' every year? Because it's fucking weird. It's fucking weird and there's no way to not think it every single time I go for a smoke break.)

Just a reminder that Avatar: The Last Airbender is on Netflix now and god it's such a comfort show.
