I don't halfling often but my favorite way to halfing is fighter/rogue into the outrider prestige class, mainly because I love the image of the riding dog charge and getting sneak attack damage on it.

I was attracted to it by... well, let's be honest. The concept is a bit on the absurd side, which really appealed to me. The idea of someone just barely over three feet tall being a serious ass kicker also had its charm. And she has proven to be rather viable as a fighter, when my dice decide not to hate me, which is a very nice surprise.

I love Chipotle. I know it will impact my health, but it’s so tasty.

JCVD, the man and the movie. (I'm always giddy watching the opening scene.)

It is a bit absurd but, no why are dwarves the only short race that gets to kick ass? One of my favorite things about Dark Sun is the Halflings scared the shit out of everyone. Why? Because they were cannibals. Tiny. Dangerous. Adorable. Cannibals.

Though... what's more absurd, a halfling barbarian... or the idea that halflings, elves, dwarves, etc, exist at all. It's fantasy. Be fantastic.

I met a new employee at my job that basically hits all of my yes buttons.

He's tall, has a deep voice, sarcastic, smart, good looking as hell, JEWISH, and in fact knows conversational Hebrew.

He is also moving to Israel in a few months. And fifteen years my junior.

                    GODDAMMIT.

@saosmash Right? I try not to get interested in people if it's viable that I could have been their teenage mom.

@cupcake Remember, the age difference rule is "divide in half, then add seven". If they're older than that, you're fine.

                                      Update.

Mrs. Faceless's former employer had their Christmas party on Friday night.

One employee spent quite a bit of their time walking around with their phone doing that new-fangled FaceTime thingymabob with Mrs. Faceless, so everyone could see her.

At one point there was a slide show. One of those: This Year In the Company! sort of things.

Mrs. Faceless was the focus of 20% of the slides. 4/20 slides. Dedicated to her.

She was informed that it was done intentionally because the group who arranged the slides knew that people missed her and that it would make certain people uncomfortable.

Mrs. Faceless laughed long and hard. I think this was a little bit of closure that she was in need of, which is good.

I felt the need to share these two short stories because these little acts of passive aggressiveness by her former colleagues are pretty damn great.

I love notebooks. So much. I have an entire shelf full and it's not even all of them. Months ago, I backed some on Kickstarter. Nomad's Sea+Air+Space pack.

                                        Description from their site:
Our first premium 3-pack of Nomad Notebooks! The Sea+Air+Space pack is made up of three different all mixed up notebooks, with historical photos on the inside covers relating to the theme, as well as a map for each theme. The inside pages for each notebook are completely different!

It was inexpensive (even retail it's just $12 for all three; roughly the same as Moleskines). I got them today and oh man they're lovely.

Photographed with my Kaweco Sport for size comparison and because, well, who doesn't love a Kaweco?

This is the theme map for the Space one, obvs.

Each one has a themed kraft paper, plain white, grid paper, and colored sheet. This is from the sea book. (BTW: the theme map for the sea one is the depth chart for the Chesapeake Bay)

End cover photo for the Air one is the Tuskegee Airmen. Hella cool.

Okay. Done gushing. I just srsly love notebooks and I've been pretty excited to receive these for a while now.
