I'm sorry hon. I wish there was something I could do. When I went on my meds for my immune disorder, it helped my migraines. Can you maybe talk with your doctor about thinking outside the diagnosis box? Maybe there is a med that is not a 'migraine' medicine, but stops the pain, etc. I'm sorry.
Maybe. I thought we were working outside the box a bit, when he was talking about the infusions, but those seem to have droppd off the table entirely.
I'm just gonna learn to live with the paresthesia. I can make jokes about my tingly/numb face.

The front end staff of my physio suck. She said today wasn't good because my therapist was on vacation today, so I book for tuesday and then leaves a message this morning saying I missed my appointment. UGH.

I love my fiance. I wouldn't have been with him for 16 years if I didn't. But god damn if I don't hate a lot of his friends, which makes me happy we have separate circles of friends. One friend in particular, who has to make a nasty or inappropriate joke at/about everything, I fucking hate hanging out with him
LARPers are, yet again, getting on my nerves. I love my group, but this is the first time EVER, outside of the clusterfuck that is the Mind's Eye Soceity, that I've been bombarded with so many 'if, then' rules questions that are clearly laid out in the book. Read the rules for Dominate. Read the rules for Auspex. Read the rules for Obtenebration. It clearly explains what I just explained to you. No you can't use Auspex to get around Fighting Blind; it doesn't say in Auspex you can, therefor you can't. You can't be 'blind and deaf' through tearing out your eyes and ripping off your ears and expect to function normally.

I used to LARP VtM/Wolf/etc back in the day (enhhhh 17 years ago?). When I stopped LARPing, I found I couldn't hang around 90% of the LARPers I knew. Aside from the fact that very many of them all worked 20 hours per week at sandwich shops while living 12+ people to a house with bedbugs, being around them pretty much went like this:
- Nonstop chatter about LARP
- Nonstop chatter about LARP RULES
- Nonstop requests for me to start LARPing again
- "Hey, can I have a ride?"
- "Can I borrow money?"
- Unable to hang out because 1st and 3rd Fridays were Vampire LARP, 2nd and 4th Fridays were Werewolf LARP, 1st and 3rd Saturdays were VtM tabletop, and 2nd and 4th Saturdays were Changeling LARP
- WHY SO AND SO AT LARP #3 IS A DICK
I could go on, but really, for a lot of LARPers I've met, it's both their primary form of entertianment and social life. For some of them, it's been that way since high school. I learned that when I stepped away from that social circle, just how alien being outside of those social circles felt.
I had little in common with them, anymore, since I moved away from that obsessive focus, got a woman, got a kid, got a career, went on vacations, etc.
Edit/Afterthought: I also learned that LARP is devastating on the social skills of awkward teenagers who learned to come out of their shells by roleplaying as leather pants vampires. Some of them take those social skills out of LARP, translate them into social skills outside of LARP, and suddenly everything is tactical. Man, the shit I hear and the amount of fucking around and cheating I still hear about outside of game. Them fuckers learned some manipulative shit.
Delete the Hog Pit. It'll be fun.

The nonstop chatter about LARP is why I couldn't get into LARP in the first place.
Sometimes, I wanna hang out without talking about LARP.
Shit, this goes for Mushers too. I don't mind hanging out with MU*ers, but sometimes, guys, I really don't wanna hear about your character from a decade ago. Really.

Or the latest staff bullshit. It's all sportsball talk at that point; it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things and there are so many more interesting things to talk about.

I am horrible at LARP. Also if I'm going to do it, it is for a set time. After that, I want to know the person not the character. I don't want to hear about only MU/RP/LARP/yadda. I like to hang with people when I'm with them. It's my love language. Quality Time and Acts of Service. Just like I require phones down during meals.

All of that is really why I love my group. They ain't that. Hence why this one player going a little beyond normal with the questions is on my nerve.We are all friends first, a majority of us met through the local gaming scene, but we're friends first and LARP comes second. Like, we get together to just hang out and watch movies, go out to shows, go Pokemoning, barbeque, dancing. Hell, our group even has had multiple PKs without insanity after the fact other than 'Holy shit, how did you Eddard Stark me, man?' aftertalk.
All of that stuff is a lot of my problem with a vast majority of the people I know from the Mind's Eye Society. There's a LOT of social awkwardness and problem in that club, and the club would rather care about keeping paying bodies than bouncing shitstains.
