I didn't RP with Peter much, but his loss is going to be felt. This makes me sad.

RE: How to Approach (nor not) a Suspected Creep
@Auspice That may be fucked up, but there are plenty of RL people out there that are serial cheaters like that so it would make sense that someone would be playing one of those IC as well. I'm failing to see how OOC actions need to be taken, especially from a third party that isn't part of it?
As I said, maybe I am missing the point of this thread entirely, but it just sounds like IC actions that should have IC resolutions. If your character is witness to this, then approach IC and ruin the guys day.

@Alamias It's probably easier to catch based on the game. A concept that might fit a nWoD MUSH could be really out of place on a superhero or a Harry Potter one.
Well, I would doubt a porn producer concept would get approved on a superhero or HP MU in the first place to be a problem IC, but valid point.

RE: How to Approach (nor not) a Suspected Creep
I'll be the first to admit that I played an IC Creep. He was built to be a sleazy 'Girls Gone Wild' porn producer type that would band anyone that let him, but that is not my RL personality at all. Maybe because I played him so over the top I never (to my knowledge) ever received any complaints OOCly about him, and people tended to deal with him ICly.
If this is IC creep on a character, then it should be dealt with IC, but maybe I am missing the point?

RE: Why We Don't Make New Friends Anymore (Or Creepers Do Creepy Things)
@Sunny I've only played a WoD LARP once at a con, and it was by far the most creepiest thing I have ever had the experience to witness. The amount of predatory behavior that was going on blew me away.
But at the same time, everyone there (save for me) seemed to be comfortable with and/or wanted it, and that made me even more uncomfortable. I noped out of there and never went to another one, ever.

Feeding the 'homeless' who ask you for money isn't helping anyone. Ever. I am a former homeless person. I can regale you with all the tales of homelessness you like. The ones who approach you and ask for food/money are junkies or scammers, for the most part. You're just enabling bad habits or a toxic lifestyle.
If you want to help the homeless give to one of thousands of reputable charities.
When they specifically are asking for food? Sorry. Going to have to agree to disagree with you.
EDITED: Maybe they are scammers or junkies, but even if that is the case I am helping to feed someone who is hungry and still find this an acceptable use of my donation as opposed to just handing over $ which may or may not be used for the things that were requested. I would rather feed a scammer/junkie than give them the $20 to get their next fix which might be the one to kill them.

@insomniac7809 Except according to the story the guys specifically said ' few dollars he could have to get something to eat.'
It's probably pretty demeaning to have someone over you shoulder while you decide what to get.
I've both taken someone to a place and let them pick out what they wanted to eat, or I have asked what people wanted and brought it back to them. In neither case did the people I was helping to feed find it disagreeable, but those are the people I interacted with, so YMMV.
I can understand the desire for people to get their own food. Do I get something small and inexpensive that won't satiate or something large and more expensive that will deal with my hunger... and will this person pay for that?
In the times I have done this the people I fed have been given nothing less than a full combo meal from a fast food place at the least, but again this is what I have done and been party to, so YMMV.

RE: RL Anger
Just to toss my two cents in here where it isn't needed, I don't usually tend to give money to panhandlers. I DO however buy them food/drinks/other items they might need. Possibly purely selfish of me in the fact then at least I know that what I am donating is being used for the purpose intended, but it is my effort to help out instead of just handing cash out.

RE: Potent Potables
I've had everclear and Gatorade once or twice, and that was strong enough. I can't imagine adding another alcohol to everclear...

RE: Potent Potables
I just tried some Empress 1908 gin yesterday. Pretty looking and not bad tasting. Not sure I prefer it over my Hendricks or not yet. More tastings will have to occur to verify.

RE: Why We Don't Make New Friends Anymore (Or Creepers Do Creepy Things)
I've met quite a few MUers in my time. All my interactions were totally pleasant and without any drama or awkwardness over the normal meeting someone for the first time awkwardness.

RE: Why We Don't Make New Friends Anymore (Or Creepers Do Creepy Things)
@Ghost Yeah, that is exactly why I don't go that route and suffer with the flaky friends I do have...lol. I'm sure that there could be decent people that I could get to know and play with at the FLGS, but I don't have the time to vet people.
