I feel like you're being rather generous there, Netflix, what with calling Ancient Aliens a "documentary" and all.
It is both super cute and annoying af that our pets have become so used to us being home, our one cat now walks around the house yeowling at top volume whenever insomniac is in the shower.
Like, we're talking full-blown kitty air raid siren letting us know that he's been orphaned forever and shall live the tragic life of a little Victorian matchstick girl..... because the humans are not in his line of sight and also maybe a door is closed.

I had this experience with the GMAT applying to business school this spring. Three out of the four programs I had applied to had accepted me when the fourth one was like "Nah, girl, not sorry!" on denying my GMAT waiver.
They still contact me asking if I'm interested in finishing my application, despite telling them to withdraw my candidacy because I was starting a program elsewhere.

You especially do not get to yell at ME about it when I'm the only one who was dumb enough to answer and have repeatedly told you I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE FILE OPEN.

My aunt is being put under hospice care. I've been told to come say my goodbyes. She's the matriarch, the one who remembers all the birthdays of /everyone/ (and with my cousins' broods, that's a LOT), the one who always has the sage advice but will also tell you to put on your big kid pants and deal with it.
When my mother died, her house was home, while my father tried to handle everything. She was safety and logic and the stories of my dad when he was young, and what my mother was really like. She taught my sisters and I all kinds of weird things, and always made us dance the jitterbug at parties.
I guess I needed to blurt it all out. If y'all could spare a little kind energy - she's a great lady, a tough as hell woman, and one of my heroes. This hurts.
This was basically my July. I am so, so sorry.
Same. I mean, it runs in my family. It killed one of my cousins when he was 28. And still, my immediate mental response was "DIABEETUS."
I'm not sure if we're all horrible people for that reaction or excellent people for managing to censor it.

Yep. That was what got me. We've had to live-stream my favorite aunt's funeral because of the pandemic and they played it before they even had the opening invocation.
