@goblin For some strange reason the current storyline made him into a more engaging character for me. In the past other than for his relationship with Thor, and other than for Tom Hiddleston's charisma, I just didn't care enough about whether he succeeded or failed.

That's a good video, I watched it a while ago. Basically it says the police will lie, take things out of context and try to incriminate you if they need a conviction. You can't trust an officer when they suggest bringing a lawyer into it makes you look guilty, or if they claim they don't consider you a suspect.
The gist of it is: keep your mouth shut, and if you are detained get yourself a lawyer before you say anything else at all.
@vixanic My understanding is while Pratchett was still alive they had been working on it. But who knows.
@greenflashlight Correct. The fan's argument was that since the show's season 1 was based on a novel, but there was no sequel to that novel, a second season would need to be be made up.
It's kind of like school principals.
@macha What gets me aren't even the corporate efforts to reduce safety nets, unemployment benefits, etc in order to force people to take shitty paying jobs just to keep their families housed and fed. I mean it does but I'd expect no more from them.
No, it's people who are themselves low/middle class, struggling, and who are protesting against those same benefits as some sort of communist/socialist agenda. That is just genuinely crazy - folks opposing their own self-interest on behalf of billionaires.
Look, I'm not saying we'd be wrong to send a ragtag team of scientists, adventurers, mercenaries and soldiers down this ancient hellpit to unveil its many secrets because what could possibly go wrong?
Let's do it!
I had to assign my team work on a Friday night (*). In retaliation they gave me this.
I should bring HR into it, frankly.
(*) They'll get another Friday/Monday off in exchange.
For the uninitiated, what's cool/special about the setting?

Let's build this thing! If I saw 22 out of 30 people inactive while logged in, and 8 people doing something where I can't join ... then only 27% of the people are playing versus 100%. I'd have more frustration trying to create ideas, entertain and encourage those others who are idling due to all the Nos, not available, regularly happening while trying to get them involved in the game.
What if you knew there are actually 100 character accounts but 90 of them aren't even logged on? Then only 10% of the people are playing!
Ultimately it's a game. If 90% of your coworkers aren't showing up that's a problem. This is not.

What does it matter?
I think it's a psychological (and selfish) concern.
"I am bored yet look, 25 people are online but 18 of them are idle when they could be playing with me right now."
The obvious fallacies:

Also, to @Carma point, it's a little unsettling to me if a popular public figure is used as a model for the character.
Just wait until you're in a room with three Robert Downey Jr. lookalikes.
I would personally much prefer a game with 30 non-alt accounts online out of whom 22 are currently idle than one with 8 people online.
At least there is potential in 22 pairs of eyes who may eventually return to this window, who could respond to requests for RP, who already invested the time to complete CGen thus they have proven interest, and ultimately who know this MU* exists.
In all due hypocrisy since I haven't created a character in a very long time, what do y'all prefer:
Oh and also why?
