One of my earliest movie memories involve Flesh and Blood. Easily the first 'erotic' film I ever watched, too, even though it'd probably barely register as such these days. I haven't watched it in years but Rutger Hauer was so good in it.

This kind of thing fascinates me: https://www.vox.com/2019/7/23/20702987/brain-psychology-making-hard-decisions
Just the idea we are all liable to make very bad - or at least erratic - decisions regardless of whether we are normally rational, educated, intelligent or even cautious individuals.

RE: Sexuality: IC and OOC
I don't play to fit other people's ideas of what I should be playing. So for example I'm crap at playing females thus I don't outside of NPCs in my plots, and I feel self conscious playing different ethnicities since I don't want them falling into stereotypes therefore I end up avoiding those as well.
All of my characters are straight white guys. Like me. If anyone doesn't approve for whatever reason, well, I'll just have to live with that.

RE: Roll10 Data Breech
Once again guys... don't reuse passwords between web sites.
Few people will care if they lose their roll20 accounts but if that's the password they're also using for online banking they might care a bit more.

@Arkandel would never make me a mod because putting up a united front is too much like agreeing with me and he experiences physical pain when that happens.
I just experienced PTSD at the very thought.

I'm sorry, I know you had more important things to get off your chest but... I have questions.

No idea if this should even go here, but it's ostensibly related to MU*s, and I'm sure @Arkandel can yoink it into a more appropriate place if necessary.
You're good. Stop worrying and love the fanfic, I guess!

RE: A fully OC supers MU
Another question is, do you (the general-you) want to draw from the established pool of superhero MU* players or are you interested in catching the attention of newcomers who might have been interested in the genre but never played it, and who might decide to try it out if capes and spandex came baked into some of the new generation toys (Ares, etc)?

RE: Foundry Virtual Tabletop (FVTT)
@Jeshin Oh I want to, but I'd rather not derail your thread by asking too many generic questions about VTTs so I'll STFU.

It's a non-game specific virtual tabletop with a dnd 5e module during development.
What features does it provide for D&D 5E? I've been looking into VTTs.

Which makes me wonder what about this is surprising to @Arkandel . Spill the beans, bro.
All of it. The fact that it's a thing at all surprises me. The fact that people would read about other people's imaginary experiences of playing a non-existing game surprises me.
I don't understand!

The litRPG thread
So a friend started reading litRPG books and since it was the first time I had even heard of the term I figured I'd make a thread about them.
Is anyone else a fan? Or have any reviews to offer? Is this a thing?
In case others don't know what the hell I'm talking about (as I did not a week ago) here is a link explaining what litRPG is all about.
It just seems so weird to me. Like blogging about playing a game then making a book out of playing it... but the game itself is made up.

RE: Gray Harbor Discussion
@Sparks Another way to also look at it is that characters are exceptional anyway, and focusing on fitting into a game thematically should be what's important to begin with.
In most cases it shouldn't matter - it's the players who're the problem, not the characters, because it's their preconceptions that get in the way.
So anyway, if you run a horror MU* set in the Far West and someone plays a black person the game doesn't suddenly became about slavery; those extradimensional monsters don't care, human flesh tastes the same to them despite the packaging. The emphasis can stay where it ought to be unless a player tries to derail the conversation into being what they want instead - and that's a greater problem to which race is just a trigger.
The same thing would apply to someone playing a character with a different gender identity, sexuality, etc than the norm.
Now if it's not the players who're in the way but staff... then that's a whole different bag of worms.

That was so unexpected. But it was worth it, just to hear an entire barbershop full of people yell "Paul George?!" at once.
The Thunder need to go into an immediate rebuild. I suspect Westbook will be converted into picks by the end of next week at the most, and pieces like Adams traded for whatever young players they can get - his contract isn't too bad but it is not great either.
The Raptors need to regroup. They have some great young pieces (Siakam, OG, FVV) on good contracts and some expiring ones. I'd trade the latter soon - they won't go anywhere with this team even in the East since teams like the Sixers and Bucks far outgun them now. A possibility might be trading Lowry (who's an expiring) and maybe picks for Westbrook, depending on how the GMs feel their chances in free agency are.
The Lakers won't be nearly as good as they would have been with Kawhi, let's be real, but they did build a more rounded roster. The caveat (and what they can have a legitimate beef) is that because of Kawhi they waited for too long and many of the better support cast went to other teams - if his camp just used them as leverage it was a shitty but legitimate move. For me a lot will depend on how good Boogie comes back as after a full summer's rehab and training - offensively they are a fucking juggernaut but defensively they have so many issues.
As for the Clippers they look like title favorites. Their guard and small forward rotation is insane, with several great shooters who can all play defense as well - Leonard, George, Beverley, Williams, etc. They don't have paint protection worth a damn other than Zubac though but they might not need it if. That's a 49 win team which took the full Warriors to 6 games, and they just replaced two overachievers with two MVP candidates.
Jerry West is basically the best team builder in sports history and it's not even close.
