@silverfox You just realized that's the best course of action?
No spoilers needed to say this: Bran can freakin' warg into a dragon at will. Or a person.
It's not clear but the guy is the most powerful person in Westeros and it's not even close.
@Taika A couple of questions.
What spheres (and splat versions) are you planning to open with after all?
Do you have a soft timeline in mind for when the game might open?
@Cupcake Just for the sake of spoilers in the preview text but...

Challenge ACCEPTED.
@Ganymede What bugs me is that while the Bucks and the Raptors destroy each other trying to get through to the Finals the Warriors are going to manhandle the Blazers. I don't see that series lasting for more than 5.
So while it's Kawhi or Giannis who faces up Steph and co he'll be exhausted... and they won't be.
I would be very, very surprised if the books aren't going (?) to end up in a pretty damn near identical situation in terms of the character in question.
The only difference in that theoretical scenario is Martin would have hundreds more pages with inner dialogue and narrative to fill out so that we can feel its inevitability as something more organic.
@Warma-Sheen The Warriors will win this. Having said that, Giannis isn't the next LeBron; he's the next Shaq. But with an insane work ethic, decent free throw percentage and far superior dribbling and passing skills.
This link contains spoilers from tidbits of an interview on Varys' actor.

@Ghost Hell, I don't even like picking up the phone if some barbarian actually calls me on it. Ugh. Just text or e-mail me like a normal person.
@peasoupling The way I see it it's an option - it should be there, but it doesn't need to be utilized.
So for example I run into a random character at a coffee shop. I don't need to glance at their wiki to see which sphere they're in, or view their RP hooks to see how to best engage them. But I can, it's an option at my disposal. If I don't like being spoiled, or prefer to only act using purely IC information then nothing forces me to take a peek behind the curtain.
In a similar way I don't have to know which alts staff have, however I still consider it the sign of a healthy game if that information exists out there as part of checks and balances. Should there be a suspicion of wrongdoing and their +sheet is available, well, it can help tell me if there are any shenanigans going on.
@Testament I will say this: The Bucks' barometer isn't Giannis, although that sounds weird since he's clearly their best player by far.
It's Brook Lopez. If he starts hitting shots he spreads the floor for opposing big men, and then Giannis becomes truly unstoppable.
@Testament I really don't see the Warriors losing a 7-game series. They are just too good, experienced and talented for it.
I hope I'm wrong.
Also as I hilariously read just now, for the fifth season in a row Del Curry will see his son play in the NBA Finals.
@Seamus said in The OOC Masquerade ?:
So what are the hive mind thoughts on this?
I don't believe in the OOC masquerade.
For starters I don't think it exists; somehow things leak, be it by players finding out through various means (observing +who or +where, recognizing posting patterns, reading between the lines, etc) then telling each other 'confidentially' afterwards or leaked by staff. That doesn't mean it's impossible of course, just that there's no real way to enforce it.
For another I don't think it does anything that useful. Many open sheet games have had great success so it's not like we don't have examples where things worked out without dedicating resources to ensuring things stay hidden, and the very act can actually make them worse. The combination of people assuming the worst, not wanting to 'lose' and being distrustful of staff is a particularly nasty one; at least if you can see for yourself a staff alt's sheet doesn't have any special numbers on it is an easy way to mitigate that.
I think it's a relic of games copying each other without truly examining the reason. It's unnecessary.
I will sign off on the sentiment that the plot feels rushed now.
Part of that is the time scale though, and I don't mean in screen minutes. Going by those it's not too crazy - we've had 6+ hours of episodes this season alone, after all. That's more than long enough for an entire movie trilogy where characters are introduced, developed, progressed and completely changed.
But the thing is those hours are compressed into a 5 week period iRL. It's hard to sign off on character development without a lot of real time to process what happened. Not to mention, as people have mentioned, there are a lot of 'character supporters' out there who are taking it personally.
It's like Kawhi Leonard was created by min-maxing stats by a powergamer. All of his social stats are zero and all of his basketball stats are topped out.
There has never been a better player than him playing for the Raptors.
@silverfox Wtf, who wishes that on random people?
... It'd be creepier for men though. "Happy Father's Day!" "UHMM WHATNOW?"
@Derp Yeah, it's silly to judge any SW game based on what Luke freakin' Skywalker's stats are. Obviously the RPG can't feature a playable character (let alone a bunch of them in the same party) with that kind of progression path.
