a lot of non-WoD games actually follow this model already. WoD and L&L (though not all L&L!) are the only two that still consistently allow for PC in top-tier leadership roles, which does absolutely breed resentment in many ways.

On @faraday 's BSU, there were no PCs in explicit leadership roles. A PC might get tapped as a mission leader, but she controlled all the actual ranking/brass NPCs. It let everyone operate on a similar level and not worry about who is in charge of who, who isn't being a good leader, yadda yadda...

I will sometimes buy a bundle just for 1 or 2 games and I'm p sure that was the case with that bundle. It had a few games in it I wanted (VVVVV, Stardew Valley, Mini Metro....) and ultimately worth the cost.

Sending emails the last two weeks of the year is just asking for a flood of auto replies.

After the cross-stitch event this fall, the girl who ran our team decided to start an Austin cross-stitching group and it's been pretty great watching the Discord for it grow. Not sure what the Facebook is up to (I don't Facebook), but there's over 30 people in the Discord. It's only been a few weeks. A number of them weren't in our other group.

I am already working on concepts. So far my favorite is a Jedi who isn't a terribly good Jedi (he's a little too fond of nice robes and comfortable suites at the Four Sectors), but he is a pretty good diplomat. Oh, it wasn't meant as criticism anyway. All of the Pitch Meeting videos make fun of the material and find plot holes, even for movies the guy who creates them loves. Watch the Endgame one, for example.

(Except Force Heal isn't a plot hole and he spent way too long on that in the video.)

I mean... maybe not a "plot hole" but it's kind of an ass-pull.

But at least Jjabrams set it up... if kinda... ham-fistedly and randomly and weirdly.

A friend sent me some money to help with my move.

That and the usual yearly 'we all buy each other a couple cheap games during the steam sale' with the people I game with sometimes is all. But between that and a few texts from friends throughout the day made me feel remembered and that's pretty damn nice.
