I keep bouncing between that Communion After Dark and a bunch of trance mixes.

This is what I've been listening to for the past hour for writing background music.
@Jaded
Ehh. Hot Rod's at least better than Mr. 'I Can't Deal With That Now' and 'It's The Most Beautiful Thing I've Ever Seen... Now Give Me The Bomb' Ultra Magnus.
@Groth
Some games, like MuxNexus are LITERALLY 'this MUSH hosts many games, each with their own grids, separate staff, etc.'
Search the site from google.
Go to google.
Type site:musoapbox.net "stuff to search" and it'll work correctly.
@Jaded
Sure thing.If you like those, some others you might like are Faylan, the GazettE (male fronted), ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D (male fronted), Cyntia (female metal), cinema staff, SID, EDGE of LIFE, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (like.. .electro-metal-deathscream stuff, it's weird but good), MAN WITH A MISSION (a little hip-hop/rap style thrown in here and there), GRANRODEO, Back-On (makes me think of Linkin Park in the way they present with a mix of melodic lyrics, rapping and metal). If I come across anything else in my iTunes from my massive list of stuff I'll throw it up here.
ETA: Kotoko (bounces between rock and electronic), Tsuchiya Anna, Aikawa Nanase...
@Jaded
HEDDOBANGU! HEDDOBANGU! HEDDOBANGU!
I still think Babymetal would fare better without Moa and Yui, but that's just me.
A similiar(ish) band that I like Yousei Teikoku; they do electronic/metal music with a Japanese female singer (often with gothic stylings).
@BigDaddyAmin
I have run long scenes with up to five people in Google Docs (it's how we've handled some metaplot/travel events for our LARP), but I couldn't see an entire MUSH-style game being run that way. But for a small group of people, the document gives a good real-time addition and way to save masses of data. Just have your players and GMs pick a typing color and go to town.
And every day I thank my lucky stars that I stopped doing Cam LARP and only do/run local troupe LARP now. The lack of insanity has been hyper-refreshing. Despite having about 40 regular players, I think the most social weirdness we have is a couple of young guys (19-21) who have some social awkwardness (poor David, wants to play a political character and is trying, but he gets nervous and stutters when he has to speak in front of the big crowd since he's the defacto Brujah leader, but he gets it done).
I guess I'll chalk it up to the majority of our crew being in their mid-late 20s/early 30s on up, with some of these younger kids being new, but really good players (even our one kid who is always 'jumps in feet first, with feet covered in concrete tied to anchors' often without considering character stuff, though he is trying sometimes).
I think my worst LARP horror stories come from the ICC -- International Camarilla Conclave -- events in the Camarilla. I helped out with security once and trying to ensure people aren't diddling in the stairwells (and in the pool, and in the hallways, and in EVERYWHERE) gets really tiring. Combined with the fact that, at one con, the actual con staff had to announce 'please use your showers, you have a hotel room, it has a shower, please be kind to everyone around you' setup, it turned me off from large cons. That and the people who have no anything outside of the Camarilla and so get insane OOC when they don't get their way IC.

Unexpected children's honesty is always a fun time.
... not sure if want. One of the V20 Developers is posting 'open development' stuff, and apparently there's big things from White Wolf regarding the game. I have no idea how this would tie into the new VtM, but assuming that they're shoving all of this into the V20 boooks to make it compatible with the new VtM,
Here's the rundown from David Hill.
Now, on White Wolf changes specifically, I don't know the purpose for removing Souleaters. But there are some sweeping changes that were less word-intensive, but hugely implication intensive, IMO.
For example, one of the Storyteller Characters in Black Hand was a vampire who died and became a wraith. This of course was always a thing. If any of you might remember, Wraith was originally advertised as a way to keep playing your Vampire/other PC after dying.
Now, vampires cannot become wraiths at all, unless they've achieved Golconda. Which changes a few references in post. In this specific instance, it means we have a character in that book who has objectively reached Golconda. No ambiguity. No nothing. I think that's a big deal.
Also, they made me change references - even figurative ones - to vampires potentially having souls. Now, Vampire characters objectively do not have souls. And souls, according to the new White Wolf, are Eidolons. Which you might be familiar with as a trait.
I personally think that has immense impact on the game. Unprecedented, even.
So yeah. There will be some big changes. Some bigger than others. I'm curious how they plan to do some of this.
And as a slight clarification:
Vampires objectively do not have souls, unless they've achieved Golconda. So I guess Golconda will be a process by which a vampire gets a soul.
Which is weird to me.
(Some cross-discussion about why infernalism exists, demons don't get a soul out of a pact at this point, and how diablerie works if there is no soul...)
(on infernalism)
Good question.
I do know that they want to pull hard away from demons. I had to cut any explicit references to demons. Which, if you know Black Hand, you should know is pretty damned hard.
Not just that, but the Black Hand doesn't actually know what a demon is, now. What they call demons, and what a large part of their cult has focused on for thousands of years is more an... umbrella term for "quasi-biblical entities, Lovecraftian demigods, and vedic spirits" in their words.
(on diablerie)
I don't know yet. They didn't actually ask me to change any of the diablerie-based content in the book, ironically.
(There was some discussion about them using the word Eidolon in place of soul).
... uneasiness rising.
Boffer LARP is only as bad as the people you LARP with, really. I have good friends who are in good experience w/boffer LARP.
My only real complaint (besides an injury that prevents me from DOING it) is that I can't get into the multi-day/overnight events where, yes, Virginia, the GMs are allowed to BREAK INTO YOUR SLEEPING AREA and HAVE MODULES WHILE YOU TRY TO SLEEP. I will punch a fucker in the face for that.
Also, do you use a version of D&D that's married to a grid? If so, how do you handle that?
I don't get why people just make a default db with everything pre installed and just distro that like the SGP one. It would be easier than an install quotable file.
You could wait for Dark Eras to finish or find the backer material maybe.
@Luna
That's just bettas. We had one that did that. He just chilled on the bottom of his bowl. He lived for a long time, too.
OH SNAP.
SUPERGIRL SPOILERS I EDITED PLEASE EDIT YOUR POST @tragedyjones MY BAD.
Supergirl continues to be one of my new favorites this season though.
Chugging away on Theatre of Shadows as well. Like @Ganymede I've wanted to have a coherent setup, so I'm still going at it by myself. Holidays definitely put me behind though.
@KDraygo
Is there precedent for like, diplomatics with the Wildlings? Or if you could make there be precedent, perhaps...
The Wall, plus a newly-built 'fortified town' wherein the kingdom is trying to make diplomatic relations with the wildlings, and as such male and female nobles as well as citizens are there?
I dunno. Seems like when the monsters attack they'd have no reason to hang out and would fuck off back to the mainland.
