On the upside of life: I ordered my first perfume from BPAL and it's amazing. It came with a sample that is ALSO amazing ... so I guess I'll be buying more perfume on my next payday, lol.

I just want to sleep like a normal person... Not like two nights of 15 +hrs, and then two nights of 3hrs. Just... like a normal person. quietly weeps into hands

ETA: Although, this does mean there was finally a week where I didn't work overtime (except for like an hour maybe), so I was actually able to oversleep on my days off (which I only got b/c I was too sick to actually work an extra day when asked). But next week I'll be back up to like 50hrs. Why? Because I'm the idiot that was like: Sure boss man, no one else is stepping up so I'll go close the dumpster fire of a store that has all of like two staffers next week.

Belatedly: I apologize if my previous post came off as really rude or demanding. I was attempting some humor but I think I fell pretty flat.

@Runescryer Not sure if you're talking about Anomaly or Gamma One, but that was one of my biggest frustrations with GO. I kept trying to play medical officers specifically so I could funnel people through quickly b/c at the time of GO I had a lot of time to RP. ...and I kept letting Rapier/Daedalus convince me to take my characters in "more unique and interesting" directions, only to have him turn around and say: Oh yeah, your character is a nurse/counselor/whatever so they can't do medical stuff.

@Pandora I skip a scene. If it's the next scene planned I don't like-- I'll go write something further in the book/story, or go back and re-write. Or I'll just give up. I have entire finished work sitting on my computer just waiting to be edited but I got to a point where I needed to do a major rewrite and I couldn't get into it.

How would folks like to do this? We could set up a little discord or maybe ask for a sub forum here?

I do this every so often, but it seems like my activity levels in the hobby in general are dying off-- so I'm missing writing, and having that creative outlet. So I'm beginning to think about starting to write again. Anyone interested in being writing buddies? Just general encouragement and the like.

I have one short story I started flushing out, but I am also thinking of taking some of the creative stuff I was doing for Sacred Seed and write some short stories / maybe something longer.

tfw you're in the middle of a 12-day stretch of work, have been working 55+ hrs each week for a month, and then someone @'s you to cover their opening shift the day after you close... expecting you to come back into work 7-hrs after you get off.

The level of exhaustion I feel right now cannot be described, and the answer is not only no, but fuck no and do not ask me for fucking shit. Also check the fucking schedule before you @ the closing manager to open the next goddamned day.

Hi! Poole was before my time, I came pretty late to Anomaly but was around for the spiritual successor that uh... Daedalus and Ronan (I can't remember Halmar's Anomaly name) did -- Gamma One. I'd love a new Star Trek game to play on that wasn't filled with strangeness. (I've tried a few that are out and have yet to be able to make a character.) The +reports system really didn't bother me that much, for like organizing shit that was going on on plots. I thought it was helpful for recapping what happened on scenes folks couldn't be on, or ongoing plots that folks might need information on.

The reporting for duty +reports and reporting for duty physicals, however, I found asinine af. It's p pointless to have them check for changelings since y'know staff isn't going to approve a changeling so why does EVERY NEW PC HAVE TO have a scene with a medical officer before they can do duty RP?

Dumb.

tl;dr: I don't think +reports are all that evil or bad. They're good for helping folks stay connected to active plots. But not required for day to day minutia that you shouldn't have to RP anywise.

What are the permissions of the bit trying to install it? The "I don't see that here." makes me think that something isn't being created, or isn't being seen.
