I've been sincerely wondering if there's really anything more to it than that.
The teams have "philosophies". Team Valor (red) is that you train your Pokemon hard and make them the best. Team Mystic (blue) is that Pokemon are deep and smart and there's a lot of mystery to them that we need to unfold. Team Instinct (yellow) is that you should use your instincts.
So, team yellow is stupid.
And team blue is a bunch of dumb hippies.
RED TEAM!
So basically--
Valor embraces it as cock-fighting slave culture, Mystic shoots itself in the foot by pointing out that the creatures they're enslaving and using in cock-fights are actually way smarter than most people think, and Instinct isn't giving it much thought at all because lulz cock-fighting.
Man, if that isn't an analogy for the way modern society views just about any social issue, I don't know what is.

RE: RL things I love
Anne Rice imbulbiated all over the Amazon.com review section in 2004.
(I just read this again. Hilarious.)

@Coin If this does not show up in the background next season, I am going to be disappointed.
Very disappointed.
Not available in my country, I guess.
But if it's Shriekback, it's good. That's just law.

@Coin Oh, I'm sure. Depending on how much the current project works I might go that route when it's time.
It's just so not time.
...yet.
Just need to downgrade the Firearms rules, change Computer for Navigation, Drive for Ride, and then take a look at Merits and see what fits and what doesn't and what can be altered.
Could even have supernaturals. Oooh. Pirate CofD.

RE: Good TV
@Coin It's light on special effects because it's Canadian.
Well, yes.
@Coin
Continuum was one of those series I watched and was like '... oh lord, what's NEXT?!' I really liked the bad guys; I felt like they weren't just cookie cutter terrorists, especially after you see some... things... about the future. It did moral ambiguity so well.
I've been starved for sci-fi shows I actually like, when someone mentioned Killjoys. It was actually pretty enjoyable, I thought.
I repeat: Continuum. Dark Matter is pretty good, too; sister show to Killjoys.

I had Don't Starve Together! I got it to play the game with my girlfriend. We broke up a week later, so I returned it.[SAD TROMBONE INTENSIFIES]
Well, maybe stop getting games based on transitory relationships and start developing material possessions around vaguely defined, long-distance, positively reciprocal connections!
Like me.
Base your video game habits around me.
Yeah, that seems smart.

RE: No Man's Sky Thread
I still have to finish:
Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Skyrim, and like... two or three more?
But my Steam joystick is finally arriving today, supposedly. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..!

Niantec isn't really at fault and I don't see how anyone could possibly think they are.
If you are driving, don't fucking play PokemonGO. Also, don't text. I mean, it's the same thing. Has anyone sued phone companies for enabling texting while driving?
Not sure on the texting thing, but I know companies have been sued when products have been misused and it resulted in harm. Not sure what the success rate is on those types of cases.
I hope it's zero. I legitimately do. I am anti-corporate as they come,. but that's just fucking ridiculous, especially when there are clear warning labels.

A friend helps you move.
A true friend helps you move the body. They helped you move? They're friends.
To be fair, she might not have a body to move yet, so we're not sure.
Quick, @Auspice, murder someone brutally and see who helps you...

RE: RL peeves! >< @$!#
I love Hemingway's short stories. I think the man was a master of understatement and concise, crisp writing when he wrote short stories. His novels, however, leave much to be desired because his style serves better when it doesn't go on and on and on and on.
His poetry is the stuff of nightmares; I wouldn't subject my worst enemy to it.

@Misadventure I am blunt. Super blunt. What little wit I possess is sarcastic and a bit acidic, and I don't hold back when people get in my space with bullshit or smalltalk. I'm mean. I like to argue. I have resting bitch face.
All adorable qualities. Just look at that face. You just wanna pinch her tough widdle cheeks!
You realize you're flirting with Bane, right? I mean, dude, seriously! Get a grip!
Aw, @Thenomain, don't get all jealous. You have adorbz cheeks too. SO ADORBZ.

RE: Issues with SimpleMu
For me? It's the ability to hit CTRL+F1, which changes all single spaces to %b, and especially CTRL+F2, which changes all carriage returns to %r. That alone makes SimpleMU my choice, especially when I'm storytelling and thus writing larger poses than usual.
