Wisdom tells me you do nothing. The owner is scarred now, and has a tough choice to make. If you call the authorities on that dog, the dog may be put down and the woman may lose her kid. With no good options, the only reasonable choice seems to avoid the fuck out of the woman and her beast from now on.

My reaction would be to explain the above to the woman and inform her that if she doesn't start socializing and walking the dog, or at least find it a good home with people who will care for it, you will call the authorities. You don't have to do it--but it might scare her straight if you threaten to.

I mean, yeah, they might take her kid away and put the dog down, but what about the other children the dog might chew on because once again it gets loose?

I HATE that people like this put other people and those poor dogs in this sort of situation, and I am not saying you DO anything other than maybe shake her fucking hard and threaten to. It might be enough to at least keep you, the other neighbors, and the dog, safe.

Like, I get it, I was being a total dick, but this guy, man--THIS GUY.

If you're interested, the easiest way to connect is by going to your steam client, clicking on view -> servers, then hit the favorites tab. Right click or click the add a server button and put in 192.154.225.101:27015. Should be called Floofnarok. You can either connect from there, or it will also now show up in your favorites when you look at the servers in game.

We just wiped progress, so it's a pretty clean slate again!

It seems to me like the problem is when these things are made mandatory, rather than by choice, generally.

Also, let's not forget that this, like all things in life, basically, when you live in civilized (for certain definitions thereof) society, is cyclical. What was once popular and then was not will be again.

Maybe people are just into this stuff again and it'll die back out later. That happens with pretty much everything ever.

IMO, code doesn't necessarily need a functional purpose beyond 'it's comfortable' or 'accessibility', really.

You can set up a google calendar to let you know when you have to re-up your monthly ritual or whatever, too, but having +remindme code is still something that would make that massively more useful. You can keep a notepad file full of your relationship notes, but having a +relationship code that lists them and the little blurbs you right would be way more convenient. The list goes on.

Note that he started getting executive producer credits in 2010, but his stint as lead writer and showrunner started in 2009... when Matt Smith became the Doctor.

I would put my wants and needs and feelings on the back burner. I still struggle with this because I'm probably a people pleaser. Then there comes a point where you look around and realize you are not be authentic. If you are not being authentic than you need to question if your friendships are. So I started saying no when it really wasn't okay. I stopped being resentful to people that didn't know they were overstepping because I never told them. You have to be honest to yourself and with yourself and then with others. Some people will leave and it will suck. Other people will stay and it will rock. Your life will be happier and such.

I think this is on topic, and as the Resident Authority On What is Or Isn't On Topic (or RAOWIOIOT), I would know.

Also, I solved this particular type of dilemma a few years back when I made it my personal policy to only take vacation days for myself.

I will hang out with friends if they are free on my vacation days, sure--but I take them for me, when they are convenient for me, and when I know I will have the emotional energy to enjoy them for me.
