Not gonna lie... The stuff about magic skeletons and nukes completely killed my desire to play. The story wasn't horror at all. And it felt like a race to get to the next story as soon as the cool kids clique died.

I do wish the game luck though. I think splitting up that group by putting each of them in separate orgs was a really smart move on staff's part.

...you guys are missing the point of the thread. Hip hop started as protest music. Now it's basically just disco. That's literally what the video was about. It's not about 'what sounds good'. It's about a form of expression that has lost its way. We now have idiots with rainbow hair and facial tattoos molesting children and rapping about it.

Macklemore is one of the problems with hip hop. Just like Drake. Two suburban guys trying to co-opt an urban style of expression.

I won't lie. The last two episodes were subversive. They did not follow the formula I expected. I am cautiously optimistic for season 2, even though season 1 wasn't to my liking.

@thenomain Uh... what? I'm further into the show than you. I fail to see how me saying I didn't like it so far makes me a killjoy. I (like everyone else in the universe) love Futurama to death. And I am not saying Disenchantment is going to be a bad show. Right now it's just not very good. Some shows get off to a rocky start.

@thenomain The more I watch, the less I like it. There's a few standout characters (The executioner, the prince) but the rest just don't... grab me. Also the king's voice should have been regal. Having a Patrick Stewart-like voice deliver the lines he does would have been pure gold.

I used to have a job in a department store for 5.15 an hour. Regularly, I'd have little old ladies come in 5 minutes before closing time and stay for -over an hour at times-. I was told specifically I wasn't allowed to rush them or harass them and could only offer service.

I found out they were all from the same social circle, and they always -loved that the store would stay open just for them-. They had zero empathy for the fact that I was staying over at least one night a week on account of them or people like them. Just me and my supervisor who always slept in her office. No co-workers because they were shopping primarily in my department so I was the one who always had to stay over. Fuck working in the department selling housewares, knicknacks, and assorted crystal gewgaws.

And fuck people who go to a business right before closing. Fuck them right in the eye socket. It shows a lack of empathy. If you have a friend or loved one who, after -being informed of the suffering they are inflicting- keeps on doing it? Your friend or loved one is either a malevolent asshole or an inconsiderate asshole. The asshole part is certain.

@sunnyj That was a great video. That's why my favorite hip hop group (Okay it is rock too) is Prophets of Rage. Old school shit like Chuck D and B-real rapping about politics and social action. Having Tom Morello on guitar doors not hurt.
